I live in Windermere, Florida with my husband and three children. I started writing in January of 2016, not long after my husband retired and took over the automotive wholesale fleet leasing business I've had since 1991 (Courtney Leasing, Inc.). I went to the University of Florida, where I earned a bachelor's degree in English and a master's degree in secondary education.

I initially wrote my first book, Graced 1943, in installments, but then decided to combine them into the first book in my adult historical fantasy series, called The Grace Family Chronicles. The entire series is written, although only books 1 through 4 have been released (Graced 1943, The Atherlings 1944, The Train of Thought, and Sulfur Island).

I also enjoy writing children's book, and have 13 in my picture book series, Tales of Bark Story Land, plus two stand alone picture books. I have two middle grade books, both featuring sixth grade girl main characters.

I have an adult book called Shackledown. It's a ghost girl that haunts the old citrus plantation house she once lived in. I also just released the first book in The Stone Bearers' Trilogy, called The Robin's Egg Stone.

My tagline is NSR: Never Stop Reading.

Chilli and the Chihuahuas are guarding Satan’s workshop against the wolves. They catch one and toss him in jail, but Santa isn’t real pleased that someone is in jail during Christmas. When Chilli and the guards catch another wolf, Santa hears the wolf saying that the pups are crying because their dad is in jail and can’t be with them. This forces Santa to take action. He releases the wolves then talks to Chilli and the Chihuahuas. It’s time they take toys to the wolves’ pups, so they can celebrate Christ’s birth with the rest of them.

This was a cute tale, and will be a favorite to tell to children during the Christmas season from year to year. Plus, it was good story telling, but the illustrations are the highlight of the book. Children will want to look at this book throughout the year as they think about Christmas, and, hopefully, the true meaning of the season, the birth of our Savior. Highly recommended.
