This dissertation reports on the Minoan architecture and gravegoods of tomb E on Phourni ridge at the north-west edge of the Archanes plain in Crete which was discovered in 1975. The author reports on the chronological sequence of the pottery assemblage, Linear A inscriptions, amulets and seals before examining the place of the tomb within the Archanes cemetery and considering the wider cultural context of the tomb particularly within Minoan burial practices and their concept of an afterlife.
