I had a lot of fun with this one! It's a great, simple conceit, but the exploration of how it spread was fun, and it had a fun and engaging circular logic, winding tighter and tighter.
I've been thinking nonstop since I read it about one of the character's assessments of apocalypse cults and their obsession:
"They want their world to end, so they think everyone's world should end. Or they're tired of being scared of the end of the world, so they just want it to be over and done with."
I do wish the ending weren't so abrupt, and I would have loved to have seen more of Jones; there were some loose ends that left me wanting, but not so much to ruin my experience.
Altogether, lots of fun!

This is the first book that I have read by R.T.W. Lipkin. It was an interesting mix of romance and science fiction that had me wondering what was really going to happen next. When Cassey tells her best friend Nicole that something big was going to happen on May 2, her life spun quickly out of control. In the midst of all the chaos Cassey met Jones, but was he who he actually said he was or was he keeping secrets. This was a book that had a unique premise but that made it fun to read. Thank you NetGalley and RTW Lipkin for allowing me to read this ARC and write a honest review.
