Warren H. Schmidt is a professor emeritus at the University of Southern California and the coauthor of The Race without a Finish Line and TQManager. He has also written many educational and management films, including the Academy Award-winning animated short Is It Always Right to Be Right?
First published in the Los Angeles Times (in 1969), Dr. Warren H. Schmidt's parable tells the story of a world populated by people who're convinced that they're right about everything. Their commitment to their principles divides them into several factions, until someone challenges the absolutist view of what it means to be right.
The book's illustrations were taken from an animated short film of the same name (made in 1970), and, years later, the concept was developed into a kind of self-help book about defeating divisiveness in the workplace... but I like this, the original picture book, much more!
