whose real name is Maadapoosi Krishnaswamy Govinda Kumar, is a famous Tamil cartoonist, journalist, writer and film critic who works for Ananda Vikatan magazine, a leading Tamil weekly.
During 1970s, he started his career as cartoonist at Ananda Vikatan magazine. Later he was assistant editor of Ananda Vikatan and Junior Vikatan(Tamil weekly).
From what ever minimum that I have read Madan sir, this seems to be a typical madan sir book. He will take a life happening and take it towards a historical event, the flow in which he takes to that event is the magic that he creates. Might look simple from the outset but it is not that easy to hit that with so much ease each and every time.
Going into latest technology and history of small items like blade , type writers and even beard are something I liked in this book. He is good in conveying emotions and also on tapping the right emotions to lead to his explanation. While talking about type writers the last pun that he had on saying type writers were always needed for human and it was also advertised much for people to use, but people ignored using it till the time they got used to. Even for inventions to succeed it needs time even though it is something that is necessary today is a good thought. With world moving towards innovation and invention's this is something that gives confidence to me that world may not change at the same pace as innovation.
In all the book is a very good and interesting read. If you want some historical facts and biological facts with a light read like talking to a person this will be a book for you. Go for it
It has all said with humour and unimaginable comparison Coz it’s none other than Madhan’s writing .. this will let u know interesting facts about every nook and corner of world .. yet reading it in this author’s style is more fun and thoughtful ...
