The Becht Collection contains over two thousand Bakelite objects amassed over more than twenty years. A selection was exhibited in Amsterdam in 1996. Essays by among others Roland Barthes and a text by the inventor Leo Baekeland. Including many photos of Bakelite objects such as cameras, tvs, radios, pipes, typewriters, and clocks. Historic photographs of the first Bakelite factory, the inventor, and the laboratory where the first plastic was developed.
