Distraught by the election of Donald Trump as President of the United States, Utopia, a small Connecticut town decides to secede from the United States and create their own enlightened and progressive country. As Utopia's citizens work to make their vision of a perfect society into a reality, the results are not what they expected and they must contend with the intended and unintended consequences of their actions.
I love political satires and this one was a quick and easy read. If you like a page-turner with some nice (and dark) plot twists, then I recommend this book.
I feel like there aren't many good political satires written today that come even close to classics like Animal Farm, and Sic Semper Sanitas certainly comes closer than any book I've read recently.
