Kimberly Denise Bowman was born and raised in Charleston, SC, the youngest child from both of her parents. From grade school to high school, she excelled and every way possible in school, even graduating valedictorian from elementary, middle, and high school. While in high school she set a record for being offered more than half a million dollars in scholarship offers from various colleges and universities, the most in Charleston County School District history. After high school, she went on to attend and graduate, a year and a half early, from Susquehanna University with a Bachelors in Communication Studies.
She moved back to Charleston, after graduating, to start her own online magazine titled, So Exquisite Charleston Magazine. After 4 successful years, she decided to explore her entrepreneurial ambitions and founded Exquisite Enterprises Inc., a media and community conglomerate which encompassed every dream she had always hoped to make true one day.
