Those Preaching A Multicultural Collection appears at the urging of women who have been encouraged in their ministries by the previous contributors. As in previous volumes, these women reflect many church traditions and various ministry settings, and this time they represent the rich ethnic diversity of the United States in the twenty-first century.
One of the most ecumenical preaching volumes I’ve read, especially from women in the faith. The diversity of voices presented is a great addition to the many gifts God has given to the Church to build it up and mature each of us in the faith. I recommend this book to all Christians and especially preachers who need to hear the gospel presented from other voices in the Christian faith.
I don’t normally read sermon collections anymore, having decided that, as a genre, they were peculiar, self-indulgent, and disjointed. Oddly enough, I enjoyed this one.
