Fashionably Dead - Robyn Peterman Vampyres don’t exist. At least I didn’t think they did ‘til I tried to quit smoking and ended up Undead. To complicate matters, my libido has increased to Vampyric proportions and my attraction to a hotter than Satan’s underpants killer rogue Vampyre is not only dangerous . . . it’s possibly deadly. Avoiding him is my only option. Of course, since he thinks I’m his, it’s easier said than done. Like THAT’S not enough to deal with, all the other Vampyres think I’m some sort of Chosen One. Holy Hell, if I’m in charge of saving an entire race of blood suckers, the Undead are in for one hell of a ride.
The Vampire's Mail Order Bride - Kristen Painter After seeing her maybe-mobster boss murder a guy, Delaney James assumes a new identity and pretends to be a mail order bride. Too bad both of them are keeping some mighty big secrets...
Big, Bad Billionaire - Saranna De Wylde Blake Woolven is the bad boy CEO of Woolven Industries, but he’s badder than the luscious, BBW Randi Rutger would’ve guessed. After Woolven took down her father’s company and devoured it like a shaking rabbit, she’s determined to get close to him and make all the Woolvens pay for destroying her father.
Fright Court - Mindy Klasky Sarah Anderson’s testimony at the supernatural night court might be enough to put a bloodthirsty villain behind bars forever—but first she has to figure out the scope of her own magical powers. When an ancient foe threatens the courthouse, Sarah’s arcane training goes into overdrive. At the same time, she must decide if she wants to kiss her vampire boss or to kill him. Will Sarah learn to embrace the magic within her? Or will she die trying?

Another great book by the fun and talented author, Robyn Peterman. I had read this when it was first released but when I was asked if I would like to do a review for Fashionably Dead I knew I had to do a reread to refresh my brain. I forgot how entertaining this was. This book took vampyres to a new and exciting place, making them unique but with certain qualities you would expect from the "normal" vampires. I ADORED it too! We have such a combination of quirky and outrageous characters. From the Oprah look-a-like Guardian Angel who is strangely named Pam, not Oprah, and a Fairy Couch who looks like just like Mr. Arnold Schwarzenegger. A cute little vampire by the name of Paris Hilton and another vampire (this one absolutely stunning!) by the name of Venus not to mention the not-quite-mortal best friend Gemma. And what a good friend she is too! She offered Astrid her wrist after she was turned. Now THAT is what a true friend is! We also have these loveable, yet slightly ugly demon babies that adore Astrid and help her here and there. I REALLY find it cool that they eat glitter magic that Astrid throws at them. They seem..sweet in a creepy kind of way, yet I find myself adoring these creepy little demons throughout this book. Astrid is the heroine and one I very much like. She is fun, caring, funny, and has the hots for the Warrior Prince, Ethan. Honestly, I can't blame her for having the hots for Ethan either. He is gorgeous, extremely sexy, charming, amusing and has equal attraction for Astrid. Which makes perfect sense since she is his destined mate AND the Chosen One. Fashionably Dead is an outrageously fun, amusing romp with plenty of romance, comedy, sex so hot it will feel like your on fire and plenty of twists and turns and awesome tricks and adventure around every corner. I am SO DYING for the next book in this new Hot Damned Series! I give this a FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS! Its a wonderfully written book of awesome-sauce and I can't wait for more. You HAVE to go pick this book up and check out this masterpiece yourself!
I love boxed sets such as this, inevitably, I always discover new authors that I added to my "must read" list. This is a great collection of stories that kept me in the edge of my seat and had me laughing out loud - a lot! Here are just a few of my favorite stories...
Southern Spirits by Angie Fox: I really enjoyed this book. It quickly grabbed my attention and kept me guessing what was going to happen next. There were several quirky, fun characters I enjoyed and pet skunk named Lucy that was fun to read about. I couldn't put this book down! I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
Dog Days of Voodoo by G.A. Chase: This is such an entertaining debut mystery, I loved it! The story quickly grabbed my attention ad Heat me glued to the pages. The characters are entertaining, a little quirky and likable. The story iis captivating and had me needing to know what was going to happen next. I hope there will be many more books in this series!
Spirits, Stilettos, and a Silver Bustier by Deanna Chase: As a fan of the Jade Calhoon series, I was excited to learn the attention grabbing, independent Pyper was getting her own book. This book will draw you in right away and keep you turning the pages. There is plenty excitement, a few laughs, romance and a mystery; a little bit of something for everyone. Don't worry, this can be read as a standalone without feeling bewildered and lost. A great, enjoyable read!
I received a copy of this collection from one of the authors, my review has been voluntarily submitted.
With this book you have 8 great tales... what I loved about it, is that they are good stories, not extremely short, but a good novella size story that you can sink your teeth into. Quite honestly, I don't know which one is my favorite...but Southern Spirits by Angie Fox cracked me up. Who would think that dumping out an old vase of "dirt" in your garden and washing it away would tie a ghost to you. In this funny tale it did, and the results are tons of fun! I also liked Fashionably Dead by Robyn Peterman, again it is one of those who knew stories! Who knew that trying to quit smoking would lead to an untimely death, and a turn to vampire-ism... and a very horny one at that. If you like fun stories that are of the paranormal nature, this is a MUST read!
Great introduction to these fun and thrilling authors
Some really exciting stories that I couldn't put down. There were a couple that weren't at the same level as the others but you can skip to the next book if you want . I read all but one that was a little bit of a potty mouth exhibition for me. If you enjoy fantasy and ghosts and witches and werewolves and vampires then you will love the collection . I have a few more favorite authors now. Enjoy!
Why such a short time to read this Book? Well out of the eight stories in the excellent collection there were only two which I had not read before. This collection of stories contains some of my favorite authors. Mr. Chase wrote an excellent story but left me with a cliff hanger and Sarana DeWilde is just as good! New authors, yes but I have to catch up with other books on my list to read. I have something to look forward to in the future.
When purchased, I thought this was a series from one author. The multiple authors failed to be that visible on the webpage I purchased it from. Several of the books were very good, and I ended buying the second in their series. Cover pictures were silly, and several of the books were heavily sexual - in heavy handed, silly fashion. This actually took away from story lines that otherwise could have been quite good.
I got this collection because I'm already a fan of Robyn Peterman and wanted to find other authors within the genre. They didn't disappoint! While some officials theses books were more my style than others, I can't wait too start reading more from all of these authors- looks like I have some news series too download and enjoy!
I really enjoyed this collection. I had already read one of the books, the first Kristen Painter book in the Nocturne Falls series. But I met some new authors, and bought a couple of books that are second in the series. It's worth the read if you like multi author collections. I do, but I much prefer collections that are one author and one series.
It took me forever to get this box set read. That is because almost every time I read a story I would stop reading the box set to go buy the entire series of the author I just read. I then binge read the author's series. Next book in the box set, same scenario. I have been in reading heaven. This box set is a great bargain.
Not kindle unlimited, but have read each of these stories before, either on amazon freebie days, instafreebie, or otherwise, and have no wise or need to go back thru that much cussing, pornographic descriptions, and other unneeded things
This is the best boxed set! I've read all but about three when I bought it. I just couldn't pass it up. These are my favorite authors! You will LOVE them!
