Don’t be swayed by the raunchy title… Ok… yes be swayed!! There is a bucket load of highly descriptive sex that will literally blow your mind and make you melt into a puddle if you’re being honest. Getty Rowdy is so much more. It’s about the relationships we form that bind us together as a whole.
Blake; confident, detail orientated, exacting, giving, nurturing, protective and can I say downright DOMINANT. A man who is a vital, yet secondary character within the book series - Everett Games. Getting Rowdy brings Blake to the forefront and shows why this secondary character stood out, needing his story told. Getting Rowdy is Blake’s story and the unfolding of all the key relationships that are formed throughout the time spans of his life, that will provide the greatest impact not only for himself but for all those he holds close, that is trusted and loved by Blake.
This book is going to transport you back in time to where a BDSM Club (Irons) is conceived and relationships mature and grow as trust and love are nurtured, while another tie becomes turbulent and will disintegrate through jealousy and hatred for those that are new to Blake’s life. A darkness that is evolving, to eventually rupture. That story is not to be told here - that’s for another time and place within the confines of Drew Sera’s - Everett Games.
I found Getting Rowdy to be like two halves, with smaller pieces forming in each half, that each interconnects to tell a whole story. Those pieces or aspects are called relationships.

The first relationship that impacts Blake, introduces Anthony Graves and a glimpse of what’s to come in the Everett Game series. Nothing to tell - you need to experience Anthony for yourself. I received an ARC of Getting Rowdy: A Club Irons novel, by Drew Sera, and this is my freely given honest review.
Oh. My. God. This book. When I started reading Getting Rowdy, I had no idea that it was a BDSM book. Nor did I know that it would hit some very intense topics for me. Much of the content is stuff that is very dear to my heart. Within the BDSM community, you havve your good apples and your bad apples. Blake Erickkson is one of the good ones. He is a Dominant who knows how to take care of a submissive. He also knows that safety is important. Every scene that plays out within the pages of this book is well written, erotic, and shines a loving light onto the BDSM community and those in it. As a self identified little, the Daddy Dom dynamic between Blake and Kelsie warmed my heart. The affection, the care, the chemistry, between them is beautiful to see. It brings the dynamic out of the shadows and the stigma and showcases what it really is all about.
Then you have Blake's wife, Cathy. A sub who feels the need to dominate now and then. While Blake finds the one person to fulfill his need to be a nurturer within the Daddy Dom dynamic, Cathy finds the one person who really fulfills her need to be in control in Noah, a young submissive male.
There is also Anthony Graves. He comes to the club in hopes of joining it's mentorship program and Blake takes him under his wing. Through interactions with other Doms and Dommes in the club, Anthony quickly comes into his own and near the end of the book you just know that he is struggling with a desire to claim one particular sub for his own. He's as much an interesting character as Blake is.
This is the first book written by Drew Sera that I have read, although I have two of her other books, and I can honestly say that I am hooked. I cannot wait to read more of CLub Irons to see where the relationships that began in the first book take us in future reads. If you're looking for a steamy, kinky read that really showcases the BDSM culture in a positive way, you need to read Getting Rowdy!

WOW Drew Sera has written an amazing very HOT book that I couldn´t put down, it´s full of alpha Doms who love to show there submissives who is in charge and the pleasure they can give them.
When Blake got the good news that he could start to builds his own BDSM club he had never felt happier. When the club is up and running and very busy he spends his time there with his wife Cathy whos his submissive, and running the mentor program with the other Masters and Mistresses to train other Doms. Even though Blake loves his wife there is something missing for him he loves and needs to be a Daddy Dom but it´s not something Cathy can get into. On one lucky night when Cathy is Dominanting A submissive, Blake meets a young woman who he can´t get out of his mind, lucky for him he has an understanding wife who encourages him to play with the young lady Kelsie.
When everything is going good in Blake and Cathy´s life Blake still needs more but is not sure how to approach the topic with his wife. Can they both get everything out of the life they have even though they love each other very much. Can they both find a way to fulfil the missing part they never new mattered.
This book has very very hot the sex is HOT which might cause you to get very wet yourself.

Oh my Drew Sera has roped me in yet again. In this book which takes place before and just after Blake opens IRONS. This is another brilliantly written book. We learn so much of all her beloved characters in this one book. Drew shows us how kinky Blake and his wife Cathy truly are. We learn of how early on Paul became an a**hole, and his hatred for Anthony. This tells us of how Anthony became the man and Dom whom we all love so much. Also how Anthony and Colin meet.
In this book we read about how Cathy and Blake meet and collar their submissives Kelsie and Noah. Both Cathy and Blake have found in Kelsie and Noah a part of themselves in which their spouse ( Blake or Cathy) just can't quite fit into. Blake finds his "little one" to his Daddy Dom and Cathy gets to Domme Noah.
The sex is hot off the charts, so many feelings are involved with this book. BDSM is very much part of this book. Another emotional roller coaster ride for me! A must read. You will love this story as much as we all loved Colin, Anthony and Sydneys story. Amazing job Drew Sera

Wow is all I can say about this book. It gave us the back story of how Blake started Irons and how he and his wife have a very open marriage. Also how they brought Kelsie and Noah into the fold. They gave so much hope to them it made my smile. Blake was also there for Anthony as well in the beginning, which showed us how he became a member and one of the best Doms there. I fell so in love with the story that it made me cry in places.
In was so well written that I hope to maybe see more with this one. I know we have glimpse into his life but I'd like to see more with them or maybe even Matt and Gina's story. This whole series that deals with Irons is wonderful and amazing I can't wait to read more. Drew has become such a huge part of why I like reading books like this. It gives a person a better understanding of the lifestyle. Another brilliant read. I without doubt hands down give this book a 5 star review.

I love this series and this book did not disappoint, it made so much sense to place it here in the series and not at the beginning. It not only explains the dynamic between Blake and Anthony, but also between Paul and Anthony and makes what happens after Sydney is kidnapped so much more fitting.
Blake's relationship with his wife and sub, Cathy and the Rowdy girl herself, Kelsie, bring real insight into the world of D/s and to the characters and strong relationships between them.
I couldn't put this book down and I have loved every one in Drew Sera's Everett Gaming series and can't wait for the final one even though I would love the series to go on.

Getting Rowdy was an interesting book to read. It's the first time that I have read something by this author and I have to say that I enjoyed it even when the story was difficult for me to follow at the beginning.
I couldn't understand why the book started the way it did and why Anthony was so important to the story. But I was committed to get to the end of it and it didn't disappoint.
I found myself really hot and bothered with some scenes and wondered what it would be like to be in those same scenes.
I also got a lot of understanding of the bdsm world, which was totally unexpected but greatly welcomed.
All in all, the author surprised me and left me wanting to read something else from her.

How Club Irons begins. This is the story of Blake, his wife Cathy and how they came to have Kelsie and Noah as part of there family. It also touches on other members of Club Irons giving some of their back story from Blake's point of view.
I loved this story and learning about the different aspects of the lifestyle and training. Blake's story helped me to understand many of the characters in a new way and I loved it! I cried over parts of the story as I learned parts of the past and laughed as new details were discovered.
Drew Sera knocked it out of the park with the details and steamy hot scenes. Drew has quickly become a one click author for me and I encourage you to read this book!!

Supressed Daddy Dom finally finds his little one! Living the lifestyle has its limitations sometimes and it is no different in this case. Although he is satisfied with his Dom/submissive relationship with his wife, something is missing. Enter the little one he has been longing. Enjoy the journey as these characters dance the dance, deal with their underlying issues and wind up with the HEA that everyone is after. Warning - hot and steamy read...proceed with CAUTION!!

Drew Sera you have done it again. I have fallen even more in love (if that's possible) with Blake, Anthony, Colin and the rest of the crew. This quick story gives the reader an inside look at Blake and how the club and his relationship with Noah and Kelsie came to be. Fantastic book.

Absolutely loved this book. Drew Sera did it again. Not dark like the Everett Gaming series but totally hot. I really loved ready about the kink. And boy is it kinky. A must read in my humble opinion. Drew is one of my top 5 all time erotic authors.

Wow..Drew Sera blow me away again... Love reading Getting Rowdy.. Love reading about Blake and Kelsie story. This is very hot and sexy BDSM story. If you like those types of books this is for you.. This is standalone from Drew series The Everett Gaming series.. Which you well still read about them in this story. Looking forward to reading more from this series.

Getting Rowdy is a hot read, with a descriptive plot. And deserves five stars. The author provides you with enough details on the lifestyle of BDSM. And what happens inside club irons. What I like is how Blake character shows is his dominant side. And besides being a mentor, he is well respected. As he works with the others doms and submissives. He teaches his wife Cathy to be dominant and also teaching her more of the life style of the iron club. What I don't like is the marriage between Blake and Cathy is open and there are allowed to play with others submissives and doms. But there also dom and submissive with one another. Blake gets an enveloped by mail. He opens it and pulls the paper out. Is what he been waiting for. The license to open Iron club. His wife Cathy is also excited. Blake with the rest of the submissives and dom. Opens up the mentorship program and starts to interview applicants to become dom and submissive. Out of the blue, he meets a young male by name of Anthony. They become friends. Blake can sense that he has a dark past. And Blake is willing to find more on Anthony life. He wants to help him to be his mentor to become the best dom. As the story progresses Blake meets Kelsie, he learns a lot about her childhood. Blake helps her to trust him. Kelsie helps Blake to release more of his daddy/dom side. Is something that he been craving. I highly recommend you to get this book. I received an ARC of Getting Rowdy: A Club Irons Novel by Drew Sera and this is my honest review. I knew I would love this book because of my obsession Drew Sera's other books. I was not disappointed, Getting Rowdy is amazing. Having met Blake and Cathy in the Everett Gaming Series, I loved getting to learn their back story as well the beginnings of Club Irons. The characters and their relationships are multidimensional, and well thought out. There is true struggle and heartache that helps make them so very real. Blake knows what he wants, Club Irons, and he strives to make it the best of the best. He and Cathy each want the other to be happy in all ways, even if they can't provide every aspect of that happiness. When Blake meets Kelsie he knows that she can provide him what he's been missing. While Blake develops his relationship with Kelsie, Cathy meets and does the same with Noah. All the while Blake and Cathy maintain their special and enviable relationship. This book has an incredible story and some damn hot sex. I loved it!

Even though this book is a stand-alone, it has the characters from The Everett Gaming Series. If you have never read the series this book is the beginning.
We find out about Blake, the owner of Irons, an elite BDSM establishment. We find out what his needs are and how he tries to meet those needs. He is quiet and calm… but then his life changes. Him and his wife are amazing. You must read this book to find out what happens.
This is a sexy, hot BDSM book that you don’t want to miss.

This book commanded my attention from the moment I started reading. The amazing dynamics between the characters, the characters themselves, and the giving, nurturing nature of a world most can't or won't understand had me hooked and breathless. This is a must read! The Beginning
This is a stand alone Novel that tells us how it all started, we see how Blake started Irons and we get to see how the other characters grow , there are alot of steamy scenes and very emotional ones also. I absolutely loved this book and highly recommend it ❤❤

Getting Rowdy: A Club Irons Novel by Drew Sera
Holy Hotness!!!! I have started reading The Everett Gaming series so these characters are familiar to me and I didn’t feel like I had to read the series to understand what is going on. This book starts in 1991 when Blake and Cathy open up Irons.
I found this to be an interesting read and I was thankful Drew kept the dates for the chapter headings because is provided a timeline of how the events we caught a glimpse of happened. We get to understand how Noah and Kelsie get folded into the mix with Blake and Cathy while getting an understand of the dynamic of relationship. Honestly I found the dynamic fascinating and unique. Noah and Kelsie fulfill a need that Cathy and Blake need to feel complete. Haha I’m not going to tell you what those needs are so you are just going to have to read!!!! I will tell you I was very surprised by their needs.
Reading about Blake and his connection to the club, Anthony, Cathy and Kelsie really made me see him in a different light. He is compassionate, strong, loving, dominate all while being down to earth and paying close attention to the people he cares about. This story isn’t all about hot steamy sex but provided what I can only imagine could be possible in a healthy D/s relationship. Reading how Cathy and Blake interact with each other even with the adding Noah and Kelsie into the household provide the proverbial nail in the coffin for to Blake’s character.
We also get the insight as to how Anthony became a member of Irons and we get a good understanding of what happened in his past. The emotional struggle he has when he is just starting out in the club is an emotional roller coaster not to mention the interactions Anthony has with Paul. There has got to be a story here that I hope Drew will provide for us at some point. We also get to see Colin and Matt when they first become members at Irons.
Again I can’t stress how much fun it was to read about the beginnings of Club Irons and how this really put some of the missing pieces in place for me that I can now remember as I finish The Everett Gaming Series.
If you enjoyed Drew’s first series, then you will most certainly enjoy this book. If you haven’t read The Everett Gaming Series, then I highly recommend you read both. You can’t go wrong with these books and most definitely keep a change of panties and a fan handy.

Getting Rowdy follows Blake Erickson’s creation of his club Irons, his marriage to his wife Cathy and the addition of two very special submissives into their relationship. I fell in love with Blake in the Everett Gaming series and was excited to learn a little more about him.
Those who have read the books in the Everett series will get to learn a little more about Anthony during his younger years. You also get a little insight into Paul’s fascination with both Anthony and Colin. While the characters in Getty Rowdy are part of the Everett Gaming world, you don’t have to read those books to understand this story.
I loved seeing how each of the relationships grew in this story. I also appreciated the insight into the relationship that Blake and Cathy have. You see how strong their love is but that they both have needs that the other couldn’t necessarily fulfill. Instead of suppressing those needs, they encourage each other to find the thing that can fulfill those needs. That fulfillment comes in the forms of Kelsie and Noah.
Although the novel has heavy BDSM elements, that isn’t what shines though in this story. Unlike some novels, the BDSM elements aren’t sensationalized. Yes it’s part of the story because it is part of what makes each of the character’s tic but it isn’t the only thing that makes the characters who they are.
For me, this was a story about love, faith and finding the place where you belong.

Ok so for those that have read The Everett Gaming Series, we've all wondered what Blake and Cathy's story is. Well now we have it!!! I finished this masterpiece in one night. Told my husband he was on his own for dinner and locked myself away in our bedroom!
To start it out, I love how Drew started their story in chronological order. It starts with background on how Blake got Irons up and running and how he and Cathy met and the dynamic of their relationship. I don't want to give away too many details because YOU NEED TO READ THIS BOOK! However, I was soooooo excited to find out that Blake is a Daddy Dom! That is one of my absolute favorite dynamics and when Kelsie is introduced to him their chemistry just explodes.
Now Cathy, she's a woman after my own heart. She's a submissive down to her core but has the occasional need to dominate. Since Blake is also a dominant he finds other play partners for Cathy to dominate. Some people don't understand the need for an open relationship but for these two it absolutely works.
I'll tell you there are some super spicy sex scenes in this book that are beautifully written! And we get our first glimpse of a young Anthony, Colin and Matt from the EGS!! I absolutely loved this book and know for fact that you guys will too! Fantastic job Drew!!!

WOW!!? Getting Rowdy is a book that once you start you DON'T want to put it down till you have turned the last page. Drew has this ability to grab and hook her readers in the first chapter. I promise you will be hooked and you will fall in love with Blake If you haven't already after reading the Everett Gaming Series. I loved this book for many reasons, Drew not only wrote some HOT sex scenes but she showed the nurturing side of Blake, his ability to care for and helping people grow to their full potential but she also showed the string bond and love between Blake and Cathy.
After Blake received the go ahead to open his club things began to fall into place. Blake started forming new friendships and began mentoring at the same time an old friendship was tested. Both Blake and Cathy have needs that neither can fulfill for one another and both are open and respects that need can not be pushed away. Blake and Cathy meets Kelsie and Noah one night at the club. Both Kelsie and Noah have a past that they are trying to forget, a past that has caused them pain. Can Blake and Cathy help heal the pain and give Kelsie and Noah a better life? Drew Sera is one of those authors you fall in love with because of their skill of sucking you in, making you feel like you are right there in the room with her charachters, the leave you wet sex scenes, and the emotions, OH the emotions she makes you feel!!!
Having already read the Everett Gaming Series, i was excited to read Blake's story and Drew did not disappoint! I loved learning of how Blake met his wife! Yes, this is a BDSM themed story, but what i FLOVE (besides the hot sex scenes) is how Drew gets the reader sooo invested, "hooked" on her charachters because of the pulls on the heart strings! You can't help but to feel the pain of a loss, the "grrrr" when someone is being a prick, the "omg! THAT's how they met (nope, not talking about Blake and his wife here) ... Blake's story begins before the days of the Everett Gaming Series where you get more insight of Anthony and Blake's meeting and bond, you see where it all starts with Paul, you get excited when Colin and Matt enter the story, how Kelsie and Noah came to be where they are and the bond that they share between them (i had wondered before....)

After reading the Everrett Gaming Series I had high expectations and Drew didn’t disappoint me! This goes back to the beginning when Club Irons was just a dream! Blake and his submissive wife Cathy have an open marriage. Although they have a respect for each other where everything is discussed prior to playing with anyone else. Cathy has the need to dominate males from time to time and Blake is dominant who would never be comfortable to fill her needs. Blake has the need to nurture and loves to play Daddy Dom but it isn’t something Cathy is into! So they find these kinks with better suited partners! Don’t think that they don’t love one another because they do!

Getting Rowdy is everything you want from this genre and much, much more. This is a prequel to the Everett Gaming Series. It goes back to when Blake and his wife Cathy first open up their exclusive BDSM club called Irons. Blake and Cathy love each other fiercely but they know that they each have a need that can't be filled in their relationship. Blake's need to embrace the Daddy Dom role and Cathy has a need to dominate on occasion. This has them finding new partners to add to their relationship. Both Kelsie and Noah have very dark, troubled pasts but Blake and Cathy welcome them into their home and into their lives on a permanent basis. Blake is finally taking on the nurturing role that he always craved and he helps Kelsie heal from childhood trauma and gives her the love she never had. Blake and Cathy have built a family both at club Irons and a new kind of family at home with Kelsie and Noah. Yes, this book is as hot and steamy as you'd expect. But to me, it's as much emotional and psychological as it is sexual. It's about unconditional love and friendship and family. This book checks all the boxes for me.

Getting Rowdy tells the story of Blake Ericksson. He is a Dom that worked hard to have his own club, Irons. He has a loving, submissive wife. They have an open relationship. But he has a need that she can’t satisfy – to be someone’s Daddy. His need to care for people extends to Anthony, and up and coming Dom that he takes under his wing. He meets Kelsie, who is a little bratty submissive. He craves to take care of her, but also senses that she has something in her past that is holding her back from certain aspects of a D/s relationship – mainly after care. Will Blake be able to have a satisfying relationship with Kelsie, while maintaining his marriage?
I really enjoyed this book. It gives a nice detailed look at the Daddy/little relationship, and tells it from the man’s point of view. The sex scenes are steamy and feel natural - not forced and insta-love. Now I am interested in seeing what happens to some of the other characters that frequent Irons!

Not a Traditional Story
This was an odd book. I would actually give it 3 1/2 stars. It was a straightforward accounting of events. Within those events are the psychological damage to certain characters and how that damage is resolved, to an extent, in a Dom/sub relationship. The story is told from the POV of a alpha Dom and owner of a BDSM club. Very little description of place, time, or feelings is given in the traditional sense of the word. At about the middle I almost quit reading, but I persevered and by the end I actually got used to the sparse emotion and characterization that was because the story was only told by One character, Blake. However, it eventually grew on me. This isn't a book that is going to overwhelm you or make you cry. It might be a good book to give you the ins and outs of a fictional sex club. I'm actually interested in reading what could be a follow up book.
