★★★★★ “Continued with the 4th in the Series – Hannah Starvling & Hymnal Miles continue !” ★★★★★

★★★★★“Love, betrayal, ghosts, mystery, you name it this has it! “Story was fast paced, believable * This book was a little bit darker than the others, but more gripping.” ★★★★★

Ms. Patterbee has moved away from the chef/cooking mysteries, into a format that allows for the characters and the mysteries to grow and have more latitude. I wasn’t to sure at first, I really enjoyed the food based mysteries, but this book and it’s style is so, so, much better

“This is a well written book with a hint of paranormal woven throughout. Moving, planning remodeling, and starting a business are all huge stressors but finding a body? That tops everything!
Plot is tight with well fleshed out characters. No guessing the culprit before the author reveals.”★★★★★

The wedding is over and the couple have purchased a building that will become home. Now a body is found and once again the crime fighters are drawn into an horrendous crime. Hannah calls in a Paranormal Investigation Team, DANTE’S P.I.T.T) to assist her with flushing out undesirables.

Hannah must answer three questions:

1. What is the identity of the dead person?
2. What connection does it have to her new place of business?
3. Is the Price building really haunted?

“The Eyes of Abigale is a spellbinding novel about a curse that will leave you wondering till the unexpected twist at the end.”

Kee Patterbee has worked a secret agent woman (To be honest, she made that one up).

From an early age, writing was a passion. Working to gain post grad degrees in several fields has given her the necessary ability to pursue her dreams to become an author.

Humor and life gives her the experience she needs to take you into crime mysteries you will enjoy. Her books are well thought out and to date , her reviewers say they never figure out the “who-dun-it” until the end.

Kee lives with her husband Joe, three cats (Beckett, Mr. Castle, and Ghostie) and two Yorkies (Zippy and Doodles) in the stranger parts of Georgia.

When not writing, they are in pursuit of roadside attractions, spooky places, chicken wings and the perfect chili cheese dog with slaw and a side of onion rings. It is a joyful pursuit. To be notified when the next releases are coming:

First thoughts: Yikes! This one really was twisty and in-depth for Hannah and Hymn. You really have to think with this series or things can seem like red herrings. But as long as you remember everything and keep up with Hannah's thoughts you can keep up with the whole story. You too can be a genius sleuth!

Well-written and a good plot

Hannah is very smart and analytical. It’s an intelligent story and I really liked it. It gets very suspenseful! And quite violent. It’s a complicated case and the pieces of the puzzle just don’t seem to fit. And it felt so real; for example, I was holding my breath when they found the body, so I wouldn’t smell the stench :)

I did find the emphasis on Hannah’s tic a bit too much; if you use it so often it goes from being endearing to annoying.

My favorite characters were Hannah’s grandparents. They bickered a lot, but in a sweet and funny way.

It’s well-written. Although the writing style does take a bit of getting used to. Example: ‘Once parked, all exited…’. Not using the word ‘they’ in this sentence makes it stilted. And sometimes the need of this author to embellish and variate was taken too far. Example: throughout the whole book Hannah’s husband is called Hymn. But all of a sudden he is referred to as Miles, confusing me because I didn’t realize that’s his last name. And referring to Cate as ‘the librarian’ makes it somehow more distant and disconnected.

I think the ‘ghost-thing’ could have been taken a bit further. There isn’t actually a lot about it in the book and I would have liked a bit more of that.

I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book.

This was a great read! The answer was elusively one step ahead of me every time I thought I had it. (By the way, I figured it out about the same time Hannah did. Does that mean I'm a genius too?!? LOL 🤣) I can't wait until the next book comes out! Please write quickly...😊

I loved this story. Full of mystery and suspense. The character interactions are brilliantly written you can feel the tension build up between the antagonists and the love and friendship between friends and partners. Hannah & Hymnal buy the property of Hannah’s dreams a property with its own mysteries. They are planning to live in part of it and run a restaurant on the lower floor, but first it needs some tlc. Having signed the final papers they enter the property with some friends only to be pushed back by a terrible smell. Being former officers of law they instantly recognise the smell of death and discover a body in the middle of the room!

The story then progresses to discover who and why the deceased was in the property and what happened. It turns out to be very complicated and the story is full of twists and unexpected turns. The mystery is solved in a crescendo of violence but it brings up some unexpected and unexplained things. This book leaves you eagerly waiting for the next adventure.

The Eyes of Abigale: Former F.B.I - Hannah Starvling Investigates (Mystery Suspense Series Book 4) is my second read from author Kee Patterbee and the fourth in the Hannah Starvling Twilight Mystery series. I’ve obviously missed some things in jumping from the first to the fourth in a series, the hazards of a limited discretionary book buying income, you read what you have. As good as the first book was this is much better, the mystery more in depth and the characters more/further developed. I very much enjoyed this well-written mystery and will read more from this author as time and money permit, so many books so little time.

Wonderful Mystery – Great Characters
I have really enjoyed this series. This book is in keeping with the others. While it is filled with the same old cast of characters, the new people fit right in. The plot is tight! The culprit is not easily guessed until the author chooses to reveal. For anyone who enjoys historical buildings and the urban legends that surround them – you’ll like this! This novel can easily stand alone. The epilogue provides a lead in to the next book, but is not a true cliff-hanger. Easily believed plot, emotionally true characters and lots of humor

Different from what she had written a few years ago. This is more polished and flows well. Good plot and one is intrigued by the legend of the eyes, and the magic of rings. Good series
