When the joy of birth is suddenly overshadowed by impending tragedy, families are forced to cope with gripping, unanswered questions. 'Anna, Jesus Loves You' not only tells the true story of Dr. Wagner's first grandchild, but also offers spiritual guidance to other persons who are struggling to deal with tragic and near-tragic circumstances in their lives. Born with a heart defect, Anna required open-heart surgery when she was sixteen days old. Stunned by the news, Anna's family and friends had to rethink their theology, renew their biblical faith, and call upon a Christian understanding of healing. An important focus of the story of Anna's healing is the affirmation that God uses many ways to heal us and make us whole. Not only does God heal through doctors and medicine, God provides for healing and wholeness through the body of Christ, the church. 'Anna, Jesus Loves You' lifts up and examines through personal experiences the healing gifts and ministry through the community of faith. The book begins with a foreword by Maxie Dunnam and includes the following 1. Ecstasy and Agony 2. A Significant Spiritual Therapy 3. Open-Heart Surgery 4. Does God Want to Heal Everyone? 5. Anna's and Ours Afterword by Mary Lou Wagner.
