Logan Williams has plenty of luck. The problem is, it’s all bad. Logan Williams is not happy his cousin retained the services of Dr. Jenna for the Last Chance Ranch. She may be the local vet, but he’d hoped never to see her again. It had taken too long to forget her the first time. Jenna Atkins is not afraid of Logan’s bark because any man who looks at his baby daughter the way he does, must have a good heart buried somewhere in there. That doesn’t mean she plans to get any closer than they already were. But when baby Charlotte’s mother arrives and sets her sights on Logan, Jenna discovers a territorial side of herself she didn’t know she had. The question is, should she walk away and let Logan’s luck run its course or should she interfere? Knowing Logan, either way, she’s bound to get hurt.

Logan’s Luck is a wonderfully charming, heartwarming story filled with humor, family, a precious little girl that will make you smile, rescue animals that will tug at your heart, lots of love, and romance. I have enjoyed all the books in this series but I must say after reading this one, I think it has become my favorite.
Poor Logan has definitely had some bad luck that has changed his outlook on pretty much everything. After his father’s death and losing his family’s ranch, he has retreated to Last Chance Ranch with his grandparents, brother, and cousins hoping for a new perspective on life. Since they rescue abused and neglected horses, rehab them, and send them off to their forever homes he is hoping that some of the goodness in these actions will help change his attitude and also his luck. The one good thing he does have going for him, aside from his family, is his precious baby girl. She was dropped on his doorstep in the middle of the night with a note saying she was his and to take care of her. He has been all about feedings and diapers and learning how to be a dad ever since. And even though he has no time for love, that does not mean that the un-forgetful one night stand has strayed far from his mind. And shocker of all, that night is slapped in his face when he comes face to face with her at Last Chance as their local vet. Swirling emotions and multiple complications arise when Logan has to face his mistakes, come to an understanding with himself concerning his luck, and take a risk for a second chance with the woman that changed everything for him and his little girl.
Jenna was a wonderful character to balance and challenge Logan. She was strong, fiery, determined, and she had a big heart. One she definitely wanted to open up to Logan and his little girl but after being burned by him once and his attitude towards her every time she showed up at the ranch keeps her emotions in turmoil. Last Chance is huge money for her and her practice and having to lose them as a client will make a major dent in her income as well as her connections and friendships with those on the ranch. However, if she and Logan cannot come to some sort of understanding she will have no choice but end her services and move on. If she can just get through his defenses, she knows their life together could be everything both of them have dreamed and more.
I absolutely loved Logan and his interactions with his little girl, Charlotte. Some of the scenes with them were just adorable. I also enjoyed the banter between Jenna and Logan and the chemistry they shared. And the interactions with Charlotte and the horses were just too sweet! This book checks all the boxes for a great read and was lots of fun!
4.5 Stars Logan Williams and Dr. Jenna Atkins had a one-night stand, which was a rare occurrence for Jenna, but not for Logan. He never returned her calls. She got the idea and finally gave up on Logan. However, he lives at the Last Chance Ranch, which takes in horses who have been abused, mistreated, or injured. Since Jenna is the local vet, she’s out there a lot, and often runs into Logan. Logan has been hit with some difficult life experiences, and feels like he’s down on his luck and has nothing to offer Jenna. He’s also the father to Charlotte, who was unexpectedly left on his doorstep one night, with him having no knowledge that he even had a daughter.
Jenna is a strong female protagonist, and she gives everything back that Logan throws at her. She’s not afraid to confront issues or to call him on his attitude or his bull. Logan really wants Jenna, but has been kicked in the teeth so much recently, that he’s afraid to hope or even try, which is why he never called her. His pride gets in the way at times, but he eventually figures it out and decides to go all in with Jenna.
This story has a nice, if somewhat nerve-wracking ending and is a joy to read. Characters show up from other books in this series and from the Poker Flat series. Ms. Post always links her books to a story from classic literature, which makes her stories original, yet a modern updated retelling of these classic tales, and a delightful read.
Logan’s Luck is a wonderful addition to the Last Chance series and delves into the complex psych of a man who believes his luck is all bad.
Logan is an angry, defeated cowboy, who has endured heartache, disappointment and the final blow of losing the family ranch; but a small ray of sunshine brightens his world…….and her name is Charlotte.
Determined to devote himself to his toddler daughter, Logan is convinced all other aspects of his life are tarnished in some way and he can’t commit to a relationship, and risk losing the one woman he believes could never be his.
This is truly a heartfelt, touching and emotional story that tells of Logan’s doubt in his self worth, but his unfailing love and devotion to his little ray of sunshine. Jenna is a delightful character with her own insecurities, but a tough as nails heroine who’s determined to make Logan face his fears and rekindle the passion they once knew.
For those readers who love a little bit of angst, strong intelligent women, and one cute as a button toddler who just wants a Kissie, this story will melt your hearts and have you coming back for more.
Logan's Luck (Last Chance #4) by Lexi Post This is a very enjoyable book by Lexi that I was lucky enough to win...now I need to go back and read the first 3 books. This is Logan and Jenna's story.. Logan is down on his luck.. his dad died and he had to sell their ranch.. oh yeah and someone left a baby on his porch in the middle of the night. Jenna Atkins is a vet and is working hard to pay of college bills and get her practice going... Logan and his daughter Charlotte (who he adores and is the only good thing in his life) move to his grandparents ranch (the Last Chance Ranch) where they save mistreated horses ...run by his grandparents and his brother and cousins. Dr. Jenna is their vet (and also a one night stand of Logan's) This book has all the feels...angst, laughter, love, tears both kinds, steamy sex, and some danger. What will happen when Kylie shows up to be in Charlotte's life? and lets not forget BB and all the horses... All this and a HEA..what more could you ask for.
Logan's Luck (Last Chance Book 4) by Lexi Post This is Logan Williams and veterinarian Jenna Atkins' story. The book can be read as a stand-alone but I recommend that you read all the books in this series. You will enjoy them all.
Logan and Jenna have a history and they left things unresolved. Jenna is the veterinarian for the Last Chance Ranch which forces Logan and Jenna to spend time together and hopefully resolve what happened in the past. The chemistry is still there or has Logan's luck run out?
I fell in love with Logan. Logan just needed Jenna to bring out the best in him. A great book with hot steamy scenes, animals, great supporting characters, and a little mystery. If you have not read any of Lexi Post's book, you need to give them a try. Her writing is unique and entertaining. I believe she could take any topic and make it interesting to read.
One hot sexy cowboy and a sexy vet. A one-night stand changed his life forever. Logan finds himself a single father. He knows nothing about babies, especially a baby girl. When he runs into Jenna at the ranch, he becomes very angry. He never expected to see the one one- night stand he can't get out of his mind. Jenna is just as surprised and angry at seeing Logan. How can she continue to work at the ranch with Logan constantly around. When trouble comes to the ranch, she must put her feelings aside and help save the one thing Logan can't live without, his daughter. The chemistry between the two is off the charts.

This definitely hits all the buttons. I wanted to hate Logan for having been such a whoredog, but I couldnt. He got Charlotte, the light of the ranch. She's a super sweet toddler and the best thing for Logan. Dr Jenna is awesome and has the patience of a saint. A compassionate vet who happens to be in love with Logan. Issues with Charlotte's "baby momma", puts both Charlotte and Jenna in danger. This is just so well written, I didn't want to put it down, then I didn't want it to end. Super stoked and waiting for more Last Chances.
Had a tough time putting this down. This is part of a series with interconnecting characters, and it is nice visiting with all of them, though the story stands alone. Logan's luck has changed since the baby although he does not trust it will continue. Jenna tries to be professional, but her attraction to Logan makes it hard. The struggles of both, financially and emotionally, keep the story moving forward.
I received a copy of this story as a gift, and this is my unsolicited review.
Another awesome book by Lexi Post! I just love her cowboys. Logan and Jenna have a shared past that is still unresolved. Logan believes that all his luck is just bad luck, except for little Charlotte (his baby). He is afraid to commit because of the way his luck was going. Even though Jenna has her own insecurities she still fights for Logan to face his demons. It is an emotional journey. I would definitely recommend it to everyone!
This is Logan and Jenna's story and what a great story it is. I loved the magic between this couple and the things they had to go through to make it work between them made this book pretty special. Add that to Logan's beautiful 15-month-old daughter, Charlotte, Jenna's dog, Butterball, and Cyclone, the rescued Clydesdale, and you can't help laughing throughout the book. I can't wait to read the next book in this series!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book!
Logan figures if it wasn't for bad luck, he wouldn't have any luck at all. But he's a daddy now, and he knows things have to change. Even though Jenna has been in love with Logan since their one night stand, she is once burned, twice shy. Can they get beyond past history and provide Charlotte with the home the little girl deserves? This is a fun read and I an looking forward to the next chapter in the Last Chance saga.
I pretty much never read series out of order, but I’ve had Logan’s Luck for a year, and it was time. Fun, fun book! Good character development (I wanted to smack Logan, more than once!), a story line that makes you keep turning the pages... what more could you ask? I was a bit thrown by the statement about one character not being “the psycho criminal we all feared”... Yes, she actually IS! There is more Lexi Post in my future... in my IMMEDIATE future!
If you’re reading this in sequence as part of the Last Chance series you meet Logan from various points of view and one thing every one: Lacey, Whisper, Trace and Cole, agree on is that Logan Williams is in perpetual bad mood. We also get attached to his baby girl Charlotte. And whats up with his surly attitude towards Dr. Jenna? In this book all those questions surrounding this moody sexy cowboy, the vet he can’t forget and his rambunctious toddler are answered.
Boy Logan is a hot, trouble single dad. Making out with their Vet Jenna wasn't a good idea ex specially when he. Ever called her back after there one night stand. Logan trying to be a good father , help around the ranch wasn't ready for a stranger to walk up and tell him she is the mother of Charlotte. What will Logan do
Just loved revisiting old friends at poker flat again. The characters are full and rich. You almost feel as if you know them, snd you do, but then their explored that much more so as to pull you in. This story has sass and suspense. As well as romance and fun. Order this book. You won't be dusssponted!
Logan's Luck: I loved the strong characters in this story! I loved the challenges that Logan and Jenna put themselves through. I loved how he was with the horses and his daughter. I loved that Charlotte was his world and how he was with her. Lexi Post really brought out the characters in this story! It was an amazing and hot story! Lexi did a fantastic job of writing it!
Logan and Jenna have history, but it is perceived very differently by each of them. Once they stop arguing, start kissing, then talking, a lot of things are set straight. I thoroughly enjoyed their drama and suspense.
Logan a man who liked his one night stands but found his self being a single dad. Jenna a women who loved animals and being a Vet. She didn't realize he would break her heart, Lexi Post is a great author thats brings you great stories and amazing Characters
