Disclosure: I was offered a free copy of this book by the author in return for an honest review.
Author sent me the book in PDF which is a format I don't read in. There was something about his emails that made me find the book on Amazon and buy it anyway and then a long flight was the opportunity to read it in a single sitting.
Clearly he's a motivational speaker as that comes out in his writing and gets you motivated to read more of the book. I've read many books on and around this topic and yet I still found myself nodding away and had a few aha moments as different perspectives on the same thing opened up different perspectives and greater understanding.
Its a good book and one day I hope to have the opportunity hear the author speak
Valuable, proven strategies with a personal touch. This author is bold enough to share his personal struggles with adversity so that we can benefit from his experience. As a teacher and lifelong learner, I really connected with the concept of garbage-in, garbage-out regarding what you feed your mind, and the chapter on becoming a student. The Author's Journal segments gave more examples of Ryan's personal experience we can all learn from. Great read!
