I DID IT!!! AFTER SEARCHING FOR THIS BOOK FOR OVER 20 YEARS I'VE FOUND IT!! This was my favorite book as a kid! All I could remember was that the foxes names were Pinkerton and Patsy. Let me tell you I regularly searched those names all over Google trying to find this book. I've hired random people over the internet to help me find this book to no avail. I've enlisted the help of my mother in law. I've forced my poor sweet mother to search in her crawl space and house to find it. I've had dreams where I've taken apart the entire house to find this book only to be left empty handed. Then one day I did my weekly internet search and found it! That day was February 8, 2022 to be exact. I've never ordered a book so fast in my life. The illustrations are exquisite. I've already ready this book to my husband twice. He knows how hard I've looked for this book. He has also spent hours scouring the internet to find this book. As a former librarian I made him use all of his professional knowledge and expertise to help me find this book. The hours and intense labor I've spent looking were all worth it. I now have all 27 pages seared into my memory again. And now my family can finally get the peace they deserve.

A charming, beautifully illustrated story with a similar feel to the Berenstain Bears. Although I loved those stories as a kid, I would've been infinitely more attached if they'd been this adorable family of foxes instead. Unlike the Berenstain Bears, though, there's no real moral to this story. The kids don't learn their lesson by the end, or vow to treat each other more kindly. It's a more accurate depiction of a sibling relationship, where the fighting and arguing and petty disagreements accompany cheerful playtime and genuine friendship.
