The Rafe clan has long lost their ability to shift into their true wolf form. Akira Rafe is one of the few people who is still born with a wolf. Only every seven years, one person is given the honour to release the animal inside their chest. This year, it is Akira's turn to become the Winter Wolf. But for this once in a life time ritual, she needs the blessing from the Winter Stone. Which has gone missing. Just her luck.

After meeting Aspen at the beginning of her desperate quest, Akira finds herself suddenly surrounded by his pack. Her wolf is crying out mate, but to whom exactly? Is it Aspen? His twin sister? Or maybe one of the people already involved in an intricate reverse harem? Can Akira trust this new pack enough to join them or will she have to venture out on her own again?

This is volume 2 in the series My Winter Wolf. This is a serial and only part of the whole story. You should definitely start at #1 Awakening so you get the best experience!

There will be 3 more volumes to complete book 1: Whisper and there will follow two more books. This is a short read, perfect for in a lunch break, on the commute, sneaking in a quick read before you are off to work or after your last child falls asleep.

The 5 volumes will be bundled together at the end (think December) for those who enjoy longer books so they can read everything in one go. If serials aren't your thing, you can get the whole story then. If you can't wait and don't mind a shorter read, give it a go. It is up to you!

This book is written predominantly in British, but does have American words in the mix. You will see me use the British spelling for words like "colour" and "flavour", but I also use skillets and pans, pants and trousers.

This is volume 2 in the series My Winter Wolf. Akira is on her journey to recover the Winter Stone when she rescues an injured wolf, that we now know is a shifter, Aspen. Akira suddenly finds herself not only with Aspen, but his twin sister Ashleigh, their friend Danny and her 3 lovers, Derrick, Regan, and JP. Every one of them is a bit crazy. Plus Akira's wolf is crying out mate to Ashleigh, but maybe also Aspen.

I love the light hearted feeling of the serial. Sibling rivalry, protective mate attacks, general bedlam. The twin's antics were amusing. Danny's lovers are interesting guys. I don't want to say much, but I wasn't happy with the explanation of the double mates. I like the reason behind it, but not the weighting scale. I don't like a hierarchy. Plus if everyone has 2 mates, does that mean the A's will be bringing 2 more people into the mix that won't all revolve around Akira, but be more into Aspen and Ashleigh? I definitely won't handle it well. I need Akira to be the center! I won't panic yet, book 3 may answer my concerns!

This is the second book in a serial. I absolutely loved it. We are introduced to Akira's second mate and her group of friends. I can't really say more without spoilers. Can't wait for the next one!

I wish these "books" were just a little bit longer. I understand these are supposed to be serials but it almost feels too short to where the pace of the serials is agonizingly slow. Maybe it's me and I'm just not a fan of serials but these feel more like wattpad updates than separate novels.

I received this book as an Arc.

I patiently (impatiently) waited for Falling; My Winter Wolf volume 2, after the ending of the first volume in the serial I was completely enraptured and needed the second volume asap. Luckily I only had to wait a short period of time before I received volume two! Yay!

Volume 2 felt like it flew by!! It picks straight up, doesn't miss a beat and throws you head first into the plot! I loved this! I feel like Arizona really got the most out of every word she used and each word was used perfectly!
Volume two of My Winter Wolf once again follows Akira on her mission to find the Winter Stone, a relic said to have magic powers that impact the chosen Wolf descendant of the west.
This book focuses more on the character development of, what I'm assuming will be, the primary group throughout the series.
In this volume it's becoming glaringly obvious how removed Akira's pack is from the supernatural community.

I really enjoyed seeing some new characters; Danny, Regan, Darren, JP and of course Ashleigh!
I loved Danny's interactions with her men, and I loved the instant connection that Akira had with one particular person! It was actually quite beautiful.
What i did miss from the first book is Aspen and Akira's growing relationship, I understand the theory behind why this was, but I just missed seeing him as a character, he was so light and fun.

The plot didn't have too many twists and turns in Volume 2, but I definitely think that it's setting up the important character relationships, that we will see grow across the serials release.

All in all, I loved Winter wolf 2, and I can't wait to see where this group goes!

Side Characters Stole the Show!

Book 2 of My Winter Wolf was a good follow-up to Book 1, adding more characters and setting the scene for more romance for Akira, confrontation/drama between various characters, and answers regarding the shifter world. We get to meet Ashleigh, Aspen's sister, and Danny and her 3 guys. I am hoping Arizona will give us a couple serials or a book about how Danny came to find/connect with them (I kinda fell in love with them instantly). I loved how they didn't bat an eye when they met Akira and brought her into their fold, not treating her like an outcast. I also liked how animalistic Arizona made the characters. When someone loses their temper, you can definitely see their beast come out/affect their emotions.

This was honestly my first time reading anything with F/F, so that was new for me. It's not really my thing, but it didn't take away from the story for me. I can appreciate how well Arizona describes Akira's feelings and the cute little touches. Book 3 should be interesting with another character and possible mate being thrown into the mix.

This is the second book in the Winter Wolf serial. I really enjoyed it. You are introduced to Akira mates and their group of friends, who happen to be in a RH relationship. I don't want to say much and spoil it for anyone but can see Akiras crazy adventure has just begun. With sibling rivalry and crazy friends I just know the next volume is going to be just as good as previous,
I really can't wait to see what Arizona has installed for the next volume.
I will be over there twiddling my thumbs as I wait. Lol.

In volume 2, Akira has a short time out from her mission and learns more about wold dynamics and mates. Tape has a really interesting take on 1st and 2nd mates, and I'm intrigued as to how this will all play out.

I really liked seeing the dynamics between Akira, Aspen, and Ashleigh and Danny and her guys. I loved the relationship between Aspen and Ashleigh - it made me laugh. I'm looking forward to volume 3!

I received this book from the author and voluntarily and honestly re viewed it.

Great 2nd installment! In this episode we get to meet both of Akira's mates and I must say that even if you aren't into girl on girl love, this is so well written it doesn't even matter! And I love that there is a little sibling rivalry! I can't wait for book 3 to come out, it can't come soon enough!

(Fans self...)

Spoilers. Holy Ashleigh. That's all I have to say. Interesting concept of first and second mates. I'm interested to see if she can keep both. Akira spoke a lot of continuing on her line in book 1 and her and Ashleigh together will no accomplish that. I absolutely love Akira's inner monologue, it cracks me up. I can't wait for book 3!

My Winter Wolf book 2 sees us continue on Akira's journey not only for the all important relic of her tribe but also her blossoming journey of self discovery. Tape expertly sets the precipice for what promises to be an intriguing story for the whole gang! You can't help but to become invested in the whole cast and I for one can't wait to see where this rag tag bunch will lead Akira! Bring on Volume 3!
