This ARC is for an honest review

I love historical writing, I love Alaska...so when given the opportunity to read this book came up I jumped at it.

Jenna and Jeremiah have a rough road ahead and things turn out a little more surprising than I had thought I figured out. Not to give anything away, this story starts in the late 1800's a time when gold was all anyone thought of and greed was the norm. The wolves give you the chills but warm your heart all in the same breath.

This is a new to me author and truly glad I had the opportunity to read this, I just may read it again because I rushed wanting to know what happens next.

Wow! Where do I start? After reading the Collapse Series, I didn't know what to expect; how could any story be better? But this is an incredible story! I couldn't stop reading...the flashbacks, the mystery, the twists, the anticipation, and the romance kept me on edge the whole time. Just when you think the end is near and hope is gone, the story flips. It is definitely not disappointing at all. I love the way "the gift" is incorporated with the wolves and the vivid details of each scene opens an imagination just like being in Alaska yourself. It is very easy to see the actual setting as it is being told with Summer's words. I highly recommend this book for anyone who appreciates the wilderness, animals, and a good old-fashioned romance novel.

To start I'll say I don't typically read historical novels. But I had the opportunity to read an ARC and I jumped at the chance, I'm a huge Summer Lane fan. This is very well written and detailed. The characters are pretty well described which allows the reader to visualize how they see the characters within their own mind, but Summer provides the visual outline. I feel like it was historically accurate, I enjoyed learning new words. I give this 4 stars! If there was an extended epilogue with a look down the road (ie: 5, 10 yrs) then I would have given 5.
Great book

Huge fan of Summer Lane. The Collapse series being my all time favourite. Loved reading something different from Summer. This historical story grabs you right from the beginning. Set in the 1800's Jenna and Jeremiah go on a crazy adventure based in Alaska. You will not want to put this one down.

Great book. Gold and the Alaskan wilderness. Revenge and corruption. Prejudice. Dogs and wolves.

A major surprise that will totally blindside the reader: I did not see it coming and never would've guessed it.

Loved this book.

Just a really good story.

The author did a really good job of making this work of historical fiction come to life. It brought back all of the memories of my own trip to Alaska and hearing the same stories. This was a very enjoyable book.
