A year ago, Kimberly Beyer and Julie Edwards were kidnapped by violent sex traffickers. Julie escaped. Kim did not.
Finally, after months of horrific abuse, Kim is free. She appears to be getting on with her life, much to the relief of her best friend and fellow hostage. But in truth, Kim is overwhelmed by rage. While Julie looks forward to a bright future with her rescuer, Kim is making lists and planning her own brand of justice.
Kim is hell-bent on getting revenge … even if that means taking Julie down with her.
This book is for mature audiences only. There is physical abuse, pain, suffering along with romance and court room drama. 18+ only!
The 3 books all contain a good storyline, but the author forgets about who she has speaking, or doing what to whom. Where are the proof readers? Where's the editor when the story jumps to something totally unrelated to the previous paragraph? I'm normally a quick reader, but continuously had to stop, say "what?", then try to make sense of what I had just read, along with the corrections required to figure what the author was trying to convey. Very annoying!
Read the whole series in less than a week. However, manuscripts should be more carefully proofed for spelling, fragmented and poorly punctuated sentences.
*Disclaimer: I received this book for free from the author through insta-freebies. The following review is my own. There was no compensation or promises made by the author or insta-freebie*. The gripping conclusion to the Unreal trilogy. Absolutely fantastic ending to such a twisted horrifying read. This book grabs ahold and doesn’t let go until the very end. How would you cope after such a traumatizing experience? How would you seek justice for what had befallen you through no fault of your own? This book explores how two people who suffer the same experiences come out on the other side so differently. Ms. Moreno leads you through the darkness and brings you out, not with lightness, but hope. Hope that even though the worst has happened, it cannot happen again. Even through all the trauma and torture there is still hope. The characters are so multi-dimensional with so many facets. The victim, the savior, justice seeker, the revenge taker, the survivor. I look forward to more in the thriller category from Ms. Moreno.
I did not want to write a complete review until I completed reading all three books....I'm glad that I did it this way!!! My family seems happy to have my attention once again!! This is a story of such a broad spectrum of scenarios..from totally horrifying to a wonderful love story..THANK YOU FOR BEING SUCH A TALENTED WRITER!! HOWEVER, a better proofreader would have been nice!!
It's great to see strong kick ass woman in the big leagues who also have something/some one to live for. A great audio book listen and I couldn't put down. dawn of storm
