Interesting book, focusing on how to be self sufficient in case "the war" (aka the civil war my dad keeps predicting) occurs. While amusing, it didn't have enough tangible information for me to use in my current garden plans.

Though, with quotes such as:

"You may be armed to the teeth, but remember: you can't eat bullets."

I can't see how this could go wrong!

I love books and stories about fringe wackos, until my nagging, paranoid subconscious wonders, "Am I becoming one?". Scary.

I have had the desire to start an organic garden to feed my family for a number of years, but have been overwhelmed and intimidated by all the information available, and just not knowing how to begin. This book simplifies it all and is very practical. One of the first suggestions is to start small. Most ideas are very economical. It even goes a step further with advice for selling and trading extra produce.
