Dragons of Umora by Sarah J. Stone is a great collection. Focusing on five dragon shifter brothers that are also princes. Well written an featuring engaging stories this collection is sure to be enjoyed by fans of paranormal romance and especially lovers of dragon shifters and magic. I voluntarily posted a honest review after reading an ARC copy of this collection.
I've got to tell you, these stories surprised me. The are written so they are back to back in time. It's like one giant space opera between two worlds; Earth and Umora. There are five different relationship, but all the characters easily transition from story to story. These stories are best read back to back and you'll have a week's vacation in another world.
The stories were okay, if a bit simple, especially in the beginning. The main problem I had with this was the lack of proofreading and editing. Often, the wrong word was used (down instead of dawn) or a word was missing all together. The formatting was an issue as well, sometimes 3 or 4 lines between each paragraph.
I couldn't even attempt to read the story. I can't tell you if the story line was any good or not. The formatting through me for a loop. The spacing was all over the place making it nearly impossible to follow the sentences.
7lines to a page is absolutely not on . It makes comfortable reading impossible .too repetitive regarding each marriage . Standard text spacing and removal of the marriage ceremonies would make it more readable
The formatting of the book is awful. There are six, sometimes seven lines per page. No adjustments on my end could rectify the problem. This made reading tedious, distracting and not an enjoyable undertaking for me. I could not make it past the first ten pages.
Dragons of Umora books one To five by author Sarah J. Stone. These books introduce you a magical world where everything is not what it seems. Yet along the way you just might get everything you’ve ever wanted without even knowing you wanted it!! Enjoy!!
A great shifter collection. Each of the brothers has a unique and lovely story. I couldn't stop reading. I loved each story and how they flowed into eachother.
Really Enjoyed these books, thought a lot more could be done with the story line but there are still several more books left in the series in Vol 2 and planning on getting them to continue my journey with the Dragons of Umora.
Only finished the first book, Cole. I don't know if these were separate at one time but I have no want to continue for the other 4 stories in the compilation. At one point there was a change up, which I thought might start up the story but didn't happen.
I thought that this might be erotica but there is none at all. So along with a pretty boring and poorly written sorry, I cannot even give it points for hotness. Audible Escape so didn't waste any money, only time.
In the last book, someone forgot to count years or Ariel became immortal. other than a few things like that, the series was fairly decedent to listen to.
I liked these stories ok, but I found the end of the last one to be a bit sudden and contrived.
These books are mostly about royal dragon brothers that find their mates on earth. Cole's story starts out a bit over - the - top with him coming to earth with the express mission of taking it over. His feelings have been hurt when he discovers he is half - dragon/half- witch and not a real heir to the throne. He goes just a little crazy and gets himself in some trouble, he flees to earth. The first person he runs into on earth is a dying girl named Enya. She just happens to specialize in dead languages and he just happens to need someone who can read an ancient text. What will he do when she becomes more important to him than his mission?
The second story is about Alexander. He has become king because his older brother has disappeared into the "Other". He is married to a carapace named Ariel. They consider it a marriage of convenience, but when they might lose each other will they finally admit to their real feelings?
Peter never wanted to be king. He allowed himself to drift into the "Other" and doesn't understand why he is back in Umora. He is not up - to - date on recent history (like the last hundred years or so) and his family brings in Yvette to tutor him. Yvette does not want to leave earth and go to Umora to try and teach the king anything. She is not well and only dragon magic keeps her going. Peter begins to fall for her and when his not-as-dead-as-everyone-thought father almost kills them both he discovered that life might just be worth living after all.
Nicholas had to hide his girlfriend from everyone. Rosa is the last witch in her family. In order to live there must be a sharing of magic between four family members. Her life force is gone and only magic is keeping her alive, but now that is failing also. Nicholas must take her to Umora and find enough Halloway witches to share her magic. Two turn up in an unexpected place, but where will they get the fourth one?
Spencer is a close friend of the Umora royal family. The love of his life is Katianna, and he has to keep finding her reincarnated every 20 years or so, only to lose her again. When he brings her to Umora noone seems to believe she is the same Katianna who was there 4 reincarnations ago. But there is one member of the family who desparately wants to believe it.
I was given a copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.
This was a good story with potential but the writing style ruined it. There were also some details that changed throughout the books, like years, ages and other stuff.
