Elizabeth Montgomery wishes to honor her grandfather’s memory by moving back to her hometown of Quinton, Georgia, to take care of her grandmother and to remodel their family home. Unfortunately, rumors spread of mysterious happenings haunting the property, and the only contractor willing to take on the project is Jackson Dean, the long lost nephew of her grandmother’s chief enemy. Jackson Dean moves to Georgia to reignite his family relations, but his work poses a threat to a peaceful transition. He accepts the job on Montgomery House to prove his skills as a contractor, but what he is not expecting are his feelings towards the granddaughter of Sissy Montgomery, and his personal quest to mend more than just the house. Elizabeth and Jackson must learn to work together on more than just construction, and their hearts must face more than just family prejudice. Can years of family rivalry truly be forgiven?
I sat here for about five minutes trying to think of something prolific to write, and all I came up with was that first sentence. However, despite it being simple and understated, it's a genuine response. I appreciate all who read and listen to my books. And for those who rate and review it, a special thanks to you. Happy Reading! Katharine

Could any two people be more perfect for each other?
Elizabeth doesn't want to be back in her hometown where family rivalries go back generations and rumors of hauntings at her house plague the town. But she wants to do right by her grandmother and honor her grandfather's wish to remodel their house.
The rumors have been scaring all contractors away so when Elizabeth meets Jackson, contractor extraordinaire, and he claims not to believe the rumors, she wants to hire him. The problem? He's the grandson of her grandmother's greatest rival.
I love how this one played out. It's a slow burn romance that kept me reading late into the night. There's just something so pleasant about the way it's written. Like taking a stroll on a beautiful day. The pace is calm and the characters endearing. It just makes you happy. There's no unnecessary jerkiness or weird random drama I see in a lot of romances. Everything fits and the entire time, you feel like it's heading towards a good place.
Liz Montgomery was raised by her grandparents in an old southern mansion. Upon her grandfather's death, she promised to renovate the old house to make it comfortable and safe for her grandmother to live out her days. The contractor that Liz hires just happens to be the grandson of Grandmother Montgomery's arch enemy, which causes a lot of problems through the renovation. Liz is falling for her new found friend and contractor, Jackson Dean, who is also falling for her. He goes above and beyond to try to appease Liz's grandmother and make Liz happy. Throughout their struggles, there are many obstacles that threaten, not only the renovation but Liz's relationship with Jackson. Eventually, they overcome both.
I truly enjoyed this story of a granddaughter who hires a carpenter to refurbish her grandparent'smansion. Grandfather has died, and Grandmother is difficult in the best of time. And to top it off, the carpenter is a member of the family in which the Grandmother has a generational family feud going on.
Well planned plot that didn't stay stuck on the feud, characters who were fluid and changed by the past and what was occurring mow!
Liz being raised by grandparents now wanting to Honor that by restoring their family home and taking care of her grandmother. A small town and rumors of it being haunted. Finding only Jackson’ would take the job, to prove himself and the work he does. Rumors again of family feuds, would that make love unattainable. Good old fashioned settings, and of rumors and families. Given ARC audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion
From page one to the end she had me enjoying another wonderful read. Both the setting and the characters had an authenticity and true to life events that one could not stop reading until you finished reading the last page and seeking another one of Hamilton's books. Addictive and very enjoyable. Thank you.
