تعد هذه الرواية الاجتماعية أول مؤلف لكاتبها الجزائري الشاب "شمس الدين شرارد"، وهي تحاكي الواقع والخيال وتمزج بينهما وتتخذ من مشاكل المجتمع ملهمة لها حيث طرحتها على لسان بطلها "شمس" وهو روائي في الاربعين يصارع السرطان فقرر أن يكون آخر أعماله نصحا ووعظا للناس والذي يسير في سرد روايته من شخصه الذي جعله محور هذه الرواية والتي تلاعب عواطف القراء متخذة من السرطان موضوعا لها يتجلى في آخر الرواية ومن التلاعبات والأوهام التي يصنعها الناس لأنفسهم ويصدقوها مدعين أنهم ملوك بل صناع لأقدارهم...
قراءة ممتعة مع باقي الأحداث بالرواية.

معروف بحبه للمطالعة والكتابة مذ كان تلميذا بالمتوسط، وهو الآن طالب بقسم اللغة العربية وآدابها، معروف عنه حبه للفنون بشتى أنواعها، وميوله الأدبي تركه يتجه الى الآداب العالمية والمقارنة التي منحت له إمكانية تطوير موهبته الإبداعية، لتجعله يحمل قلمه ثانية كي يخرج به إلى العلن ويدون مختلجات نفسه ويعكس شؤون مجتمعه لنا بعمله الاول المتمثل في رواية "نرد القدر"،

I really enjoyed reading your book .... first congrats for the title ..totaly naled it ...it defenetly express the meaning of the book...second i found that this book contains so much feelings ...and i could feel what u felt just by reading it and i thank you for that ...third , u really knew how to get my attention because what u wrote is something that happens in real life ...respect ....so good job and keep it going

Five years from now we were unable to find an algerian writer who writes in english, arabic and especially french were the dominant languages, but in the past two years and coinciding with the spread of reading, many writers are tending to write in english & they are taking the courage to tackle various themes. Our writer for today « Lakrib Melissa » is young, ambitious & brave. In her first literary work she revealed her love experience which every girl can relate to in one way or another, a story that starts with love and attraction and ends with despair & deception. This novella is writen in the form of a diary from the very first day to the very last.
  As many of you may know that love stories are not my cup of tea, I don’t find pleasure while reading them and I feel lost most of the times unless the writer draws broader dimentions (Social, political, & psychological). Yet, I decided to read this work just because the writer is algerian and I felt the need to support her. Why ? Well, because she was brave enough to speak up and share her story with no fear, in the time where our society still consider love as a taboo and the girl who dares to speak about it is considerd to be ill-mannered. Melissa is not an actual friend of mine but I’m following her on social media and I've noticed her change and the personal experience she went through, it transformed her from a sensitive girl to an empowering & influential woman & for that I’m really proud of her.
Now let’s discuss some main points about « Coward » :

The first two things that attracted me & I consider to be the perfect match were both the title & the cover. When you read the title you’ll immediately guess the whole story & the cover goes perfectly with the male character.
The thing that bugged me in the first pages was the fact that she revealed everything in the beginning , she could’ve left some mystery & excitement in a well-constructed twist.
In the first pages of her diary (in the beginning of their relationship) she used the past tense and was speaking about it like it ended even though every page was dated & i didn’t get whether she wrote her diary while they were in a relationship of after the break up.
While reading the novel I noticed that she made a lot of efforts into her book and despite some tiny mistakes, her english was sophisticated and simple.
As I mentioned earlier, I don't enjoy reading love stories that's why I felt bored and all the events were expected.
All in all, it’s a good book for beginners for they can easily understand it. and if she tackled different topics in her upcoming books except for love affairs it would've been awesome !

From the first day I was watching the publicity of this book I want to read it, I don't know exactly why but I think because It's an English book of a yong Algerian writer
The book is about a romantic love story between a yong girl of nineteen years old who felt in love with a men of twenty five years old one day after she accepted him on Facebook, but the girl was disappointed and discovered that he is a coward
It was an ordinary story who can happen to any girl, but honestly I didn't discover the mean gool of the novella, that's why I give her 02 points

Once I started reading the book, I felt that I know the girl who is talking and I know the rest of the story and it was true, I do not know the girl personally, but her story I guess is repeating a lot in our days. Especially that we are in the same age and living in campus so I get used to listen to these love stories that start at the beginning like dream, but the end most of the time not that expecting.
I also adore the cover it is a good choice I think it is an attractive cover.
The language was simple, easy to read and in big letters so I have not any problem to finish the book in a short period (2 days).

I started this novel with enthusiasm bcoz the writer is an Algerian young girl expressing her thoughts in English the 3rd language in my country & that is unusual but page after page I bored & felt gaps in sequence of scenes I wished that she use more dialogue BTW the characters
good starting and all the best dear writer

كنت متشوقا لقراءة هذا الكتاب ‚نظرا لكونه من أولى تجارب الكتابة بالغة الانجليزية من طرف كتاب جزائريين شباب

الكتاب يروي قصة حب بين مراهقة في مقبل العمر و شاب‚ تعارفا من خلال مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي‚ وقد رأت الفتاة فيه كل مواصفات الرجل المثالي من
رجولة و وسامة وشغف كبير بالحياة ‚ومن شدة إعجابها به اعتبرته النسخة الذكرية من شخصيتها

لكن مع مرور الأيام ‚أصيبت البنت بخيبة أمل كبيرة بعدما أدركت انه مجرد شخص جبان ‚يتلاعب بمشاعر عشيقاته و يبيع لهن الوهم خلف شاشة هاتفه

الرواية عادية جدا تطرقت إلى موضوع متداول كثيرا في السنوات الأخيرة بأسلوب ليس فيه أي إبداع

الكتاب يؤكد الصورة النمطية لمجمعتنا حول بنات الاقامات الجامعية في الجزائر

غياب عنصر التشويق في الرواية حيث انه من خلال قراءتك للصفحات الأولى يسهل عليك أن تتوقع النهاية

احتواء الرواية على ألفاظ بذيئة

مبالغة الكاتبة في وصف مشاعرها مايؤذي إلى إصابتك بالملل
