Sleeping Angel

Logan

Everyone thinks I tried to kill her on purpose.
Sure, she's part of the reason my sister is dead.
I'm angry, I won't lie.
But I never meant to hit Angel.
On the anniversary of my sister's death, I felt so much pain until I couldn't.
I made the worst mistake of my life.
The fate of my future lies in her hands,
and I have to come to terms with everything I've done.

Angel

From one life altering event to another.
I'm the girl always in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Haunted by the past, uncertain of the future.
I dreamed of becoming someone else and erasing my existence.
Now my wish is about to come true.
Not only can I not escape my own nightmare
I'm now living someone else's.
The one man who understands the guilt I feel
is the same man who put me in this position in the first place.

No matter where she goes, USA Today Bestselling author Nikki Lynn Barrett hears voices in her head. Instead of calling her crazy and locking her up, her family realizes it's just a product of being an author and allows her to write the stories so that the voices shut up.
But they don't. And probably never will. There's no need to lock her up, Nikki knows she'll never escape the voices, not until each and every last story is written. And for every story she writes, about ten or more ideas pop up.

When she isn't slaving away at her computer writing books that will probably make you cry and keep you in suspense, Nikki plots to take over the world one book at a time. What? It's a sickness. One she can't escape!

Books aren't her only addiction, though. Nikki can be found making up parodies to drive her son crazy, and bantering back and forth with her husband, who somehow manages to steal her away from the fictional world she lives in all the time.

Nikki lives in Arizona with her husband and son, where she can be found using every creativity outlet she can find through music, photography, handcrafted things, and random interests that she may pick up from time to time.

Sleeping Angel is another mind blowing winner from the imagination of Nikki Lynn Barrett. This story is so thought provoking that I could not read it in one sitting. I truly read it in chunks so that I could mull it over in my mind. From hate to love and pain to joy, this book has everything. At times it was difficult to read through the tears streaming down my face. That's how much Nikki's writing touched me. Although the book is full of people dying, spirits coming back and crossing over, it's still a beautiful love story - love between siblings, love between friends and a new love that wasn't to be expected. Angel and Logan are wonderful, multi-layered characters developed by this amazing writer. When is it finally time to let go of the past, and all the anger and guilt, to just LIVE? This is truly a stunning book!

I received a free ARC of this book and am voluntarily writing my honest review.

This book took me on an emotional rollercoaster that I am still recovering from. Thought provoking, sad, joyful, unforgettable! Watching Angel and Logan work through their guilt and finally see their true selves was truly a work of art. When they really see the other for the person they strive to be I was in tears. I have read all of this author's books and this one is my new favorite, hands down.

The ability to take two characters who should not be likeable and make them characters that readers love and root for us magical. Ms. Barrett truly is a master of her craft and continues to write books that stay with the reader long after they finish the book!

I was excited to get to read the second book of the Soul Connection series from Nikki Lynn Barrett, Sleeping Angel. I was prepared, or so I thought, for the emotional roller coaster that it would take me on and settled in on a rainy afternoon when I needed an escape from some heavy stuff going on in my own life. While I needed it it was one heck of a tear jerker! So make sure you have your tissues ready when you do finally read Logan and Angels story. This is one you do not want to miss though. It is a wonderful reminder that our lives are short and we should really savor what we have when we have it and live it while we can. I look forward to seeing what will come with the next novel. I am sure it will be just as wonderful as the first two.

I was so happy to see another paranormal book from this author. The first one touched me so much and was so unique to others in this genre that I’ve read, I knew this one would be great too. I loved Angel and Logan’s story. This book had me feeling so much emotions while reading it. It really made me think more about what happens when our bodies die. I loved the twist and turns and finding love with the last person they would ever dreamed of finding a connection too. This is really a thought provoking story. Nikki Lynn Barrett really outdone herself with this one. I hope there will be more in this series.

Yet another emotional roller coaster, Sleeping Angel by Nikki Lynn Barrett is the second book in the Soul Connection series and I flew through it just as quick as the first one! I am glad that I started it as soon as I finished the first one, it certainly didn't disappoint!

The book was a bit different from the first one, but the story that Barrett has written in the story about Logan and Angel is just as intriguing as this one. I was excited to see Scott and Zelda make an appearance in the novel, as I was very much hoping for a continuation in their story. I am excited to see what the next book in the series will entail, but after reading these two know it will be very well-written!

Angel knew she should have said something when she saw Andi with those two guys. But, she didn't see anything alarming at the time. Now Andi is dead and Logan is heartbroken. He is spiraling into a world of alcoholism to dull the pain from the loss of his beautiful little sister. Andi's would have been 18th birthday, alcohol. lots of it, and a blackout. Logan is in the hospital, so is Angel, hanging by a thread. Or is she? Her body is there but her soul is in someone else's body. Will she be able to figure out how to get back to her own body before she dies in someone else's?

What a great sequel in the Soul Connection series!! A Definite MUST read

Logan McVey's whole life turned upside down the night his sister, Andi, went missing and was later found murdered. He blames the killers whom he thought were his friends but when a woman comes through with information he also blames her for not stopping it or not saying anything about it sooner.

Angel McCready knows how much Logan hates her and she is shocked to be continually harassed by him. On the night of her birthday she is throwing a party until she is the victim of a horrible accident and wakes up to find herself in someone else's body.

As Logan and Angel come to terms with the accident both are coming from different perspectives but are linked through Rionna Fresno. As Scott tries to bridge the gap between different worlds will hidden secrets be revealed to get everything how it should be before Angel is lost forever?

This was a good book filled with different paranormal elements that kept you in suspense of what was going to happen next.

Logan was a good character but so conflicted and angry after the death of his sister. The two had such a close bond that he hit rock bottom when she died and began drinking excessively and everything began to fall apart around him. I don't think he meant for the accident to happen but at the same time he was just in such a bad place that I wasn't surprised that it happened.

I thought Angel was a great character who saw something that she didn't realize the depth of what she had witnessed. I couldn't imagine what she went through when she realized she wasn't where she thought she would be.

There was so much mystery and secrets that kept being revealed as the book went along. I was surprised at how everything was linked together and characters were all tied in without realizing it.

I really liked the change in Logan but I was waiting for the big reveal with regards to Angel and Rionna.

The ending was really good and I liked that Angel was honest about everything that had happened. The epilogue great and I liked the way it ended.

Sleeping Angel is the second novel in the Soul Connections series by Nikki Lynn Barrett.

Waking up in the hospital, Logan has no memory of trying to kill Angel though he blames her for his sister’s death.

I really enjoyed the first novel and I could not wait to start the second novel.

This was a rollercoaster of emotions with characters that are likeable and an interesting plot. I did not want to put the book down.

I recommend this novel. Will not be disappointed.

Sleeping Angel is the second book in the Soul Connection Series by Nikki Lynn Barrett. It is a wonderful paranormal romance, with a bit of an enemies to lovers feel, ghosts, drama, grief, love, loss, heartache, revenge, family, friendship, mystery, and emotion.
I know I have said this before, but I really do enjoy Ms. Barrett’s work, her stories are always well written, cleverly constructed, and quite engrossing. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book, especially after reading the first book and having loved it sooo much. This story is a little different from the first book- but still with Ms. Barrett’s clever little touches and attention to detail.
I loved meeting Logan and Angel and following along on their journey. I also loved that Scott and Zelda (and Andi) from Peaceful Slumber (Book #1) also played a part in this book. That gave this book an added element of interest and connection for me.
Bring on Book #3!

Thank you, Nikki Lynn Barrett!

I have to start off saying that I have read some paranormal that I didn't really care for, but I have read a lot of books by Nikki Lynn Barrett including her first paranormal book Peaceful Slumber and I loved that one. So I wanted to read this one too. All I can say is WOW what an awesome read. Once I started the book I kept reading and reading. Was almost late to work a couple of times, because I was so caught up in the story that I didn't keep track of time.

It is an emotional read and really makes you think about how you have lived your life, how others think you treat them. And what really happens to us when we die. I think this is a MUST READ for anyone who loves or even slightly is interested in a paranormal romance.

Again, Nikki Lynn Barrett thank you for another AWESOME read.

Sleeping Angel by Nikki Lynn Barrett a topsy turvy five-star read. This is number two in the Soul Connection series and they are both simply stunning stories. I don’t know what to put about this story as even the tiniest detail could spoil something, as this is one of those stories that you pick different things up depending on your mood. It is definitely going be one of my re-reads as it was beautifully written and just told such a great story and made me care about people, I really didn’t care for. Even if you don’t read paranormal I would still recommend this, as its not your typical story, its so much better.

Angel and Logan are two young people with a lot of guilt over one other young person, the death of Logan's sister. Logan blames Angel for not coming forward with some information sooner and he also blames himself for not heeding the signals and seeing what was right in front of him. Angel blames herself for the same thing, she didn’t take notice of a situation which felt a little off, she feels she was selfish and it was only when someone asked her a question two years later that she realised she should come forward, but when she does, her apology to Logan goes down in flames and he dogs her every movement after that and makes her life a living hell. Another year down the line and it is the anniversary of his sisters birthday and Logan does what the same as every year, gets drunk, angry and accusatory, he goes to Angel’s house and shouts abuse at her before being taken home, Angel is trying to celebrate her birthday when he shows up, but becomes completely overwhelmed and goes outside for some air, but all of a sudden she sees headlights and then is out of her body and nobody can see or hear her, apart from one person who insists that she goes back into her own body, however, as she does, she sees a flash of light and then nothing.

The next day Angel wakes up, but in somewhere she doesn’t recognise, she is not in a hospital where she expects to be after what she saw, but when she looks in the mirror, it is not her looking back, it is someone with blue hair and a nose ring and she has a roommate she has no idea the name of, thinking that she has the hangover from hell and trying not to let on she has no idea who she is, she is eventually taken to the hospital to be checked over. When she arrives there, she decides to go and look for herself instead, but finds that her body is surrounded by too many people and hasn’t woken up, but she does run into Logan, this is how she finds out she is in his ex-girlfriend Rionna’s body and that just causes more questions than answers. Finally she finds the one person she knows can help her untangle this mess and hopes that she can work with them to solve the mystery.

Meanwhile, Logan has woken up in the hospital with no memory of what happened after he was taken home by two people who were at the party he crashed, he remembers going to bed to sleep it off, but when he is told that he was behind the wheel, drunk out of his mind and that he ran over Angel outside her home, he realises just what a mess he is in. As he comes to and is treated for his head wound, the police come into his room and tell him that he will be arrested on multiple charges as soon as he is released from the hospital, however, the severity of the punishment will all depend on whether Angel wakes up from the coma she is currently in. Logan is torn in two by what he has done and accepts all the punishments he is given, however, when the alcohol withdrawal hits him, he feels like death would be preferable to the pain, spasms, nausea and hallucinations he is experiencing.

Will Angel be able to figure out Rionna’s life so that she can work out how to get back to herself, or will fate intervene and leave more questions than answers for her? Will Logan be able to turn over a new leaf, or will the downward spiral he was experiencing before begin again? What ties Logan, Angel and Rionna together and how did the body swap happen in the first place? This is a story of loss, grief, heartbreak and secrets with a tangled web of connections which need to be unraveled before the mystery can be solved.

Sleeping Angel (Soul Connection Book 2) by Nikki Lynn Barrett presents so much romance and drama ready to unfold. The paranormal is a nice bonus in this love story. Ghost, this story has it all and so much more.

There was just one terrible death. Two souls wracked with remorse. They haven't been able to connect because of years of anguish and remorse. Until one night, when an accident occurs, it completely changes everything.

He is buzzed. Angry. At the age of twenty-four, that's him. He had no intention of becoming this guy, but the murder of my sister had an impact on him. He holds himself responsible, but he also holds Angel responsible. His sister died as a result of her silence. One night, his anguish takes a new turn. He is informed of his actions when he wakes up in the hospital. Everyone believes he attempted to murder Angel on purpose. But he didn't mean to hit her, and he has no recollection of the incident. Her fate is now in her hands, and he must accept responsibility for what he has done. Rionna, his first love, provides him with comfort. But there are aspects of her that he does not comprehend. Something isn't quite right here.

Guilt is a terrible feeling to have. From one life-changing experience to the next. She's the girl that seems to be at the wrong place at the wrong moment all of the time. She is haunted by the past, and She is unsure about the future. She fantasized about transforming into someone else and deleting her existence. Her fantasy is going to become a reality. She assumed she would die in the accident, but she discovers she is in the body of a stranger.’

I loved every page of it. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

Sleeping Angel is the second book in the series, the author once again is able to tie up all the mystery, drama, emotion, and love into a wonderful read. From the first book we still have Scott who after being able to see ghosts must help his ex-girlfriend figure out what happened to her.

Logan, your typical 24 year old, who has been through more grief in his short lifespan than most do for their entire lives. His sister was murdered, his girlfriend cheated on him and he has blindly turned to alcohol to feel something. Unfortunately that takes his life down a dangerous spiral as he wakes up in the hospital with no memories of what he’s done but with everyone blaming him for killing Angel. Angel just so happens to be the person Logan blames for the death of his sister, after all she seemed too caught up in herself to catch what was going on. However, Angel isn’t quite dead, at least her soul isn’t. She discovers she is now living in someone else’s body with no recollection or idea of how that happened. Turning to Scott, her ex-boyfriend, for help to discover why this happened and what to do next. Is Scott enough to help her? Can everyone figure out the true story so they can retain some semblance of their lives and move through the guilt of the past? Or has too much damage been done that none of them will make it out unscathed? If you haven’t read the first book you definitely should as it ties the characters together more easily into the storyline! This was another knock out of the park by Ms. Barrett and I look forward to the journey her other books will take me down!

Logan McVey has lost his little sister, his best friend and he blames himself even though he had nothing to do with it. Angel McCready came forward with information that put away the guys that were responsible for taking Andi away. Logan blames Angel for not speaking up and saving his sister from the monster he thought were his friends. Angel herself even carries around guilt for what happened and often wonders if Andi had given her any signs that she needed help. Angel knows that Logan hates her with a passion for not speaking up sooner and is just waiting for something to happen. On the night of her birthday she has a party and is enjoying herself and having a good time with her friends until she is in an accident that leaves her in a coma. When she wakes up she is in someone else's body and has no idea who this person is or how she ended up there. Why couldn't she get back into her own body? Will she find out who this person is and how they figure into everything that is going on? Will Logan ever be able to forgive her?

I found this book as enjoyable as the first one. I am looking forward to seeing what new characters the author brings into the third book and how it connects to the first two.

Logan is a twenty-four-year-old who has lost his girlfriend because he saw her cheating on him, his sister because she was murdered, and his life because he can’t stay away from alcohol. On the night of her eighteenth birthday, he is overwhelmed with emotion. He drowns himself in alcohol until he ends up at the house of the person that he feels responsible for the loss of his sister.

Angel is twenty-one. It’s her birthday, and she’s having a blast. Well, she pretends like she’s having fun. Angel has been suffering alone in her pain. A few months ago, she found out that she was a witness to a terrible act...the act that was Logan’s sister, Andi’s murder. She was so wrapped up in herself that she failed to see what was going on.

Then an accident occurs. And suddenly Angel is not in her body anymore. Her former boyfriend, Scott, who now sees ghosts, tries to help her through this strange time, but will that be enough?

Sleeping Angel is the second book in the Soul Connection Series by Nikki Lynn Barrett. Although this book can be read alone, I highly recommend reading the first book. This story is one about crazy pasts, murders, and secrets. The characters are connected through a web that has all of them wondering how closely tied they all are.

Sleeping Angel (Soul Connection Book 2) by Nikki Lynn Barrett

4 Stars

I have read many books by this author and have enjoyed all of them. I especially loved the first book in this series and was super excited about this one as I was left with a few questions at the end of the first. It was awesome getting back to Scott and Zelda and I would have loved more of their story in this book. In saying that I didn't fall into this one quite as deep as I did the first. It still had all of the amazing writing I've come to expect from a book by this author but this one had me confused most of the time. There are a lot of moving parts and trying to keep up was a challenge. It took me a bit to finish it as it was quite long. I did love the mystery and never knowing what secret would be revealed next. It was just a bit complicated trying to keep the characters straight and I did have to go back every now and then to get back on pace. Logan and Angel were strong characters and I did love both of them.

The ending was awesome and helped clear up some of the confusion, but not all of it. I love this author and will read anything she comes out with, this one was just not one of my favorites although I did enjoy most of it.

This book is different from the first one in style, but we do find ourselves back in Payson, Arizona with familiar characters. The first book in this series does not need to be read in order to fully jump into this book, but it's always fun having back stories of side characters.
Logan is one of those characters that has a lot of room for growth and it's hard to feel much for him other than pity and frustration in the beginning; however, as his story unravels and we get to know him better, it gets easier to relate to him. I think Angel helps tremendously with that. If you have read the first book, you had a slight introduction to Angel as a friend of Scott, the man who can communicate with ghosts.
An accident on Angel's birthday, leads to Angel waking up in the body of someone else while her body remains stuck in a coma. She'll need help from her friend Scott, Logan - the guy who has relentlessly picked on her the last two years, and the friends of the body she's inhabiting to unwind the mystery of who she is now and how she can get back into her own body.
I really enjoy the way Nikki Lynn Barrett writes about grief, trauma, addiction, and mental health issues. She really touches on taking care of yourself to make life better. It's beautiful.

I was very confused for the first several chapters of this novel. It felt like being thrust into a conflict without understanding the background. Each chapter of the novel is from the POV of different characters involved in the story. Angel and Logan are the leading characters who shared a terrible piece of history. As the story unfolds, we see the the different thoughts, feelings and perspectives of character speaking. Elements of the paranormal are key to this story working. This includes reincarnation, astral projection, spirit body-swapping, and spirits with unresolved issues talking to someone (Scott) with a link to the spirit world. I liked many of the story pieces (history, reflection, suspense) but felt overwhelmed by how many of the paranormal things were involved to make the story work. I was touched by the personal and relational growth shared by many of the characters. Second chances and redemption are clearly possible with with empathy, understanding and a lot of self reflection. Started as a frustrated 2.5-3*, ended as a more satisfying 3.5-4*.

Sleeping Angel is the second book in Nikki Lynn Barrett’s Soul Connection series. It could be read as a standalone, with different characters as the focal point, but it follows on nicely from the events of the previous book, Peaceful Slumbers, developing the themes and ideas introduced in that book. And they’re both good so why not start at the beginning and work your way through!
This book is an emotional rollercoaster from the start. It’s a tense mystery where it feels like every page makes you ask more and more questions. There are a lot of characters and stories to keep track of – this is where it helps to have read Peaceful Slumbers first so you meet them more gradually!
I enjoyed the paranormal elements in Peaceful Slumbers and it was great to see those ideas developed further in Sleeping Angel with new angles explored. It’s a great way of giving the victims a voice in the story as well as giving us clues and more mysteries to unravel.
For me, this is a five star read. A real page turner that I couldn’t stop thinking about whenever I had to put it down (alas, work is a thing). I would definitely recommend the series to fans of paranormal mysteries and romance!

Sleeping Angel (Soul Connection Book 2) by Nikki Lynn Barrett

Sleeping Angel is the second book in the Soul Connection Series by Nikki Lynn Barrett. This is a Paranormal Romance that is packed with mystery, suspense, anger, grief , ghosts . Although this can be read as a standalone I do however recommend reading the first book to get to know the characters. This is my favorite yet. I found myself lost in the pages while on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what was going to happen next. This is Logan and Angel’s story. Both of the have experienced something tragic. Logan lost his little sister and Andi and he has become a very angry drunk. She witnessed something she should have spoken up about sooner than she did. They both have anger and regret. What happens when he wakes up in the hospital and is the reason why Angel is now in someone else’s body. Find out what happens next in this emotional rollercoaster ride that the twists and turns will have you turning the pages to see what happens next. I highly recommend reading this book and I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Logan and Angel are intertwined by 1 devastating death, and 1 tragic accident. When Logan's sister is killed Angel is able to identify the accused. However his anger and grief have taken an immense toll and in Logan's eyes her lack of intervention and then her length of silence before coming forth makes her just as guilty and puts her as a direct target for his hatred. As she is celebrating her birthday a year later she has an encounter with an angry, drunken Logan and its what causes her tragic accident, and also what becomes the start of her spiritual journey as someone else. As the story unfolds it becomes a journey of life altering experiences that show everything truly happens for a reason.
This is my first read by Ms. Barrett, and it took me by surprise. This paranormal tale was quite original and quite thought provoking. The author takes you on an emotional roller coaster with her unique cast of characters as they try to overcome guilt, grief, addiction, and forgiveness. You will become entangled within their lives in both life and death, and its a very good reminder of the importance of taking those extra moments to slow down.

Will this Angel awaken from her nightmare?

After reading Peaceful Slumber, the first book in the Soul Connection series by Nikki Lynn Barrett, I was looking forward to reading the next book to see what happened to the lead and supporting characters. Indeed, the next book, Sleeping Angel, features Scott and Zelda from the first book, but the plot of Sleeping Angel went in a radically different direction, one that I did not really like.

As with the first book, I liked both lead characters, Logan and Angel, and found the supporting characters to be interesting and essential to the story. However as I already mentioned, I did not like the story as much and was disappointed with the direction the author took. Also, the writing was smooth, but the pace did drag a bit.

Lastly, as with the first book, the author kept any implied sexual content behind closed doors, but (sadly) the characters did continue to use very vulgar language.

I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily post this review. This is my honest review.

This is the second book in the Soul Connection series. The main character, Scott, from the first book is more of a minor character in this book (but he is still important.)
Angel is hit by a car at a party by a man that has been stalking her for years. While her body is in a coma, her soul has inhabited another woman's body. She tries to find out what is going on and get back to her own body.
Logan lost his sister a few years ago and has survivor's guilt. He has become an alcoholic and is the one who hit Angel with a car. He is just hoping that she survives, not just to keep himself out of jail for murder but also because he has added on more guilt.
Opinion
I absolutely loved the first book and expected to like this one jsut as much. There are some differences between the last and the present book. I was confused in several parts because there are so many characters, both in and out of their right bodies. The main concept of the book is a cool idea that I still find interesting. Overall, I liked the book but thought there was too much to follow.

I really enjoyed the first book in this series...and I enjoyed this one just as much.

This story focuses on Logan and Angel. Logan lost his younger sister and is now an angry drunk. He holds a lot of anger towards one person...Angel. He believes Angel's silence killed his sister. However, when he wakes up in the hospital after an accident, he will have to prove that he didn't hate her enough to kill her.

Angel has this guilt within her because she believes she should have seen the signs that Andi was in trouble...but there weren't any...right? Living with this guilt leaves her feeling, at times, that she could find a way to make it stop. When she finds herself in the hospital after an accident, she also finds herself in someone else's body. Who's body is it? And how does she get back to her own?

This story has A LOT going on. There are a lot of characters...and not all of them are living. Scott, from the first book, plays a role in this story as well. It is a story about guilt and forgiveness...and I enjoyed reading it. It is a longer book...but I couldn't put it down.

Sleeping Angel is the 2nd book in the Soul Connection series by Nikki Lynn Barrett. While I did read the first book, it was years ago, and I didn't fully remember the details. That being said, this book can be enjoyed as a stand alone. The characters from book 1 are important in this book as well, but their role is explained within. This book was unlike anything I have ever read. To be honest, I was confused for the better part of the book. The first half, there are so many characters, and all seem to be connected or related in some way or another. Then, once I grasped all the connections, things really started getting good, yet, more complicated. I really had to stop a couple of times and just let it all sink in. Mad props to Barrett for creating this story line, as it has so much thought behind it. This is a book that focuses around ghosts, reincarnation, afterlife, love, and second chances. I felt like we really got to know the characters, and their connections to each other. I recommend this book, but read it when you can focus on it- There is a lot going on at once!

This is the second book in the Soul Connection series and wow what a book. The author does an amazing job of mixing true hard situations such as grief and adding some paranormal influence. It follows the story of 2 people Logan And Angel.

Logan is suffering with unbearable grief after finding out his sister was murdered. Full of anger and regret he turns to alcohol to numb the pain. As well as blaming himself he also blames the one person who could have helped but didn't, Angel.

Angel came forward with her information which lead to the killers being caught however she is now full of guilt and remorse over not stepping in at the time. Added to her guilt is the hatred from Logan.

Things change however when Logan runs over Angel now Angels spirit is in a fight to return back to her body before its too late.

All through the book we are taken through a journey of grief and realising that even in death our loved ones never really leave us. After all the heartache can something good come from this experience for both Angel and Logan?

Sleeping Angel is the second book in the Soul Connection series by Nikki Lynn Barrett.

This book is jam-packed full of so many emotions I kept having to stop to digest everything.
Logan is still struggling to cope after the murder of his sister. He blames everyone including himself. He wants answers and justice. He is struggling to move forward with his own life.
Angel already carries so much guilt. She might not fully understand all that she has seen just yet, but right now she just wants her life to feel normal.
Like the first book in this series, this story has a paranormal twist. Both of these characters need answers, but how far will they go to find them?

I found this book a little hard to keep up with at times, especially towards the beginning. Saying that though, I did really enjoy it. There are lots of twists, turns, and unanswered questions to keep you turning the pages right until the end.
