Begin with Yes - Nighttime Affirmations

Rate this book
This book provides inspirational thoughts to inspire you to dream with intention. I hope you‘ll keep it on your bedside table, ready and waiting for you each night as you go to sleep. You’ll be joining people from all over the world who are making “nighttime affirmations” part of their bedtime routine. Although it was created in the format of a calendar to be read night by night, you can also simply open the book to a random page and date and discover a powerful thought that will connect with you at “that perfect time”. And remember, the power is not in the words, but rather in the ideas, feelings and thoughts the words evoke for you. Let them penetrate your dreams. The power lies in your desire to take your dreams seriously and to follow your passions wherever they take you. Most of all, these words are here to remind you that although you weren’t given wings to fly, you were given dreams to soar.

Begin With Yes - Nighttime Affirmations — Paul Boynton January 24, 2020 - Aug. 26, 2021

This book has taken me quite a while to read. I haven’t exactly followed the every night routine, because well, I’m just like that. I think it would be great for people who have that routine, and in that way may be better to have the physical book staring at you every night when you get into bed, but I have the ebook version and I tend to get wrapped up in the current book I am reading, I tend to slack off on the reading. Oh, bother!

When I did finally get into a routine of reading (which I ended up using as an ending to my night meditations,) I found the powerful evening statements calming to me. This will stay on my reading shelf because the affirmations are so unique and helpful to me. I could read this every night for years and still see freshness in these thoughts.

Note: there are some typos in this book. Also, while this book isn’t tied to a specific year, there are only 28 days in February.

The last month, December, actually began a little repetitive. It felt like some affirmations were repeats of the day before. This was the only part of the book that appeared that way.

Otherwise, a very fine thought-provoking (but not keep you up all night thinking about it,) book of affirmations. This is an affirmation book for non-religious persons (though religious people would enjoy it too.) Again, no hint of religion in this book.

So glad I tumbled onto this, and glad that I kept coming back to it in fits and starts.

Five stars.
