Switchback. This book was intense and dangerous. I wasn't expecting this type of story. It was exciting and different type of story that I am use to reading. I stumbled through the racing elements of the story, but I was still fascinated by the races. Reading about a woman doing these kinds of races was exciting! I loved Conor and was rooting him on. He was so alpha male. Sue was a great character that you just had to love her. There on again off again romance was crazy. I enjoyed the suspense of the guys after Sue. I kinda guessed the culprit before they found out in the book, but it was a good plot to find out who was after her. The book was worth reading. I plan to read the next book. Exciting Romantic Suspense

Switchback is a romantic suspense novel by Ruth Gowan and it's very good. I enjoyed the international settings in the novel, the thriller aspect of the novel, and the on-again, off-again romance between Sue and Connor. This book gave me a glimpse of what it's like being one of the few women in the world of Motorsport Rallying which was very interesting. It also dealt with child molestation, a difficult topic, in an understanding and non-salacious way. The heat level of this novel was perfect. There are several sex scenes in the novel but they are sensual and sexy, not raunchy. The suspense part of the novel kept me on the edge of my seat, and the romance part was very satisfying. The novel ends with an HEA ending. Overall, this was a very exciting, romantic suspense and I give it 5 out of 5 stars.

I loved this book so much I didn't want to put it down. Susan and Conor were wonderful characters and I enjoyed their journey on the rally circuit. This story was full of mystery and page turning suspense. I definitely recommend.

A thrilling read

I was lucky enough to be given an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. This book follows the journey of Sue and Conor. Full of twists and turns, like the roads they were driving on, their story is one of love amid the racing world. One race would bring them together, then another would tear them apart. Will their feelings for each be enough to make them a team for life, or just during their races? I really enjoyed this book, and look forward to the next one in the series.
