Squeaky is smaller than most cats... way smaller. He is tired of always coming in last in games with other cats. Then one day he discovers how his size allows him to do things bigger cats cannot.
Ashley Tetzlaff masterfully crafted this sweet story of how a mother encouraged her mini-sized cat to not look at the limitations of her size, but to look at the opportunities her small size gave her. A great read-aloud to encourage little ones to rejoice in how God made them.
Daniel Aiers did an awesome job illustrating this book. Simple and sweet, yet vibrantly colorful. Any young child would enjoy this picture book. Highly recommended!
It has been a long time since I have read a picture book. When Ashley Tetzlaff asked me to review some of her books, I agreed. I had been interested in her books her books for a while and some of them were on my to-read list. I was very excited when a package arrived with three picture books; I thought I would be bored. Instead, I found myself really enjoying the stories that these books contained.
Squeaky was a delight. The visuals in this were so fun. This story really showcased Ashley’s and Amy’s imagination and talent. Being short in stature myself, I also could relate somewhat to this little kitten. I know that little ones as well as grown-ups will enjoy ready this story over and over again.
I received this book from the author in exchange for my honest review. I was under no obligation to write a positive review. The opinions in this review are entirely my own.
A simple yet profound lesson for children of all ages! Each one has something to offer no matter the perceived short coming! A beautiful heartwarming story with eye catching graphics!
