I'm an adult, but I love using kid's JavaScript books to learn programming. Too many adult books go too fast and assume you know more than you actually do. This book is great to learn how to create a fun game and, even more important, it actually works! I can't tell you how many tutorial books I've gone through that are already out of date and don't work anymore.

If you get stuck, the full code can be found at: https://kids.scholastic.com/kids/book...

I found it useful to save the full code as it's own file, and open up that file and my game file in Visual Studio Code. From there, I was able to compare both files, and could more easily find my mistakes (99% of the time it's a spelling error for me!).

Highly recommend this book for anyone looking to get more into JavaScript or game development, no matter their age.
