This book was right up my alley and provided exactly what I wanted. This is a very concise and slightly outdated annotated outline of different plants that have influenced civilization. One of things I actually learned instead of re-read was the use of woad. It is the ancestral blue dye of Europe. Very interesting. I would recommend this book to anyone who has a slight inkling for plants.

Short, interesting chapters on aspects of plant domestication, use, importance in human civilization.
