Book Two in the Princess the Cat Series. Princess the Cat meets farm animals while on vacation in the country. Enemies threaten the farm. When Princess encounters a long lost friend, she learns that more is at stake than just the farm. Entangled in a knotted yarn of lies, can Princess win the trust of the farm animals to save the farm, and even the world? A fun to read chapter book for 3-6 graders full of animals that will make you laugh. Perfect for pet lovers, animal lovers, cat lovers, and even cat haters.
Not kindle Unlimited, must be from one of my freebie days, both 1 and 2.
In the second book, Princess escaped having to be watched by Todd while going on a trip to the farm with the family, and Max. What is going on at the farm that it could be her only chance to even visit it? {Personally think the repeated parts about being 'fixed' and not missing her male friend was not only unnecessary once at least in each book but for a K-4th or to 6th grader? That age range, really, really?? Also, to name such items i.e. car is 'heater' and other things the same way doesn't make sense when other things/items are named correctly when they wouldn't be known to a cat for any reason.Every chapter further in all can think of is, that's the suggested age groups, really?! Then there's things such as “I know what a bovine is,” where I'm thinking, really, you don't know what a tv or car is or what they are for, and you've never seen a cow before, but all the sudden you know what a bovine is? Even at that age range, trust me, my kids would have caught the continuity or whatever issues, just didn't want to go in to all of them one by one. It was more obvious in the follow up books because already had the background, but there was some in the first as well.
Princess the Cat versus Snarl the Coyote: A Cat and Dog Adventure Princess the Cat Saves the Farm
You can be forgiven for thinking that this is "just" a children's book. On the one hand you'll be right but also very wrong in the same way that Animal Farm is a children's book. This has valuable lessons for all and the story of Princess's fight to keep everyone and the farm safe is well worth reading. Good book
Princess is, in my opinion, more interesting back in her home territory.
There's a lot in this book in particular that you have to just roll with. It's ridiculous and eye roll inducing. But again, my kids thought it was great, so who am I to argue?
Great book about friendship, courage, and finding your place in the world. Lots of lessons learned and life decisions made. No age limits for these books, definitely good for all ages.
