Cha Yiljoo  who suffered a miserable childhood, being abandoned by his father and abused by his mother, presents himself as a person with consistent affection and refined manners on the surface, but in reality, he is a dark and twisted person who has not been able to overcome the wounds of the past.
He had unconsciously longed for a loving person who would embrace him and not run away even when it saw his monstruos true self, to the point where he said that his ideal type was "Belle" from the fairy tale "Beauty and the Beast" , Euihyun was the only person who matched his ideal type.
Cha is immediately attracted to Euihyun , who has a strong inner self despite his soft exterior, despite having similar wounds to his own.
After a brief period of distance due to Euihyun's unexpected confesión, he eventually realizes that his special feelings for Euihyun have deepened without him knowing it.
As the title Pillow talk suggest, it frequently features scenes of two lovers talking in bed.
From the small details of daily life to the intimate feelings burned deep into the heart, they go back and forth in comfortable, sometimes sensual situations, and it feels like a real-life couple.
It is a story about classic unrequited love.
