Ibur is the poet laureate of St. Louis, and for good reason: she offers a refreshing mix of serious reflections and humorous speculations. A number of these poems made me laugh out loud, including poems told from the point of view of the voiceless women: Mrs. King Kong, Mrs. Tarzan, and especially Mrs. Noah. If you've never considered buying a collection of poems before, please open up your heart to Ibur's.
