Ava is an insomniac who writes to calm the voices. When the voices get too loud, stories are formed.
Ava was born and raised in Texas. Spending most of her years far from the city, she learned at an early age to create new worlds and characters as a form of entertainment. It was her cure to loneliness as an only child and led to her career as a writer today.
Now living in Florida, Ava enjoys the fresh sea air and summer storms. She believes there is nothing more beautiful than an evening summer light show and finds solace in writing while the rain falls outside.
Married to the love of her life, Ava shares two beautiful daughters and a multitude of sweet fur babies with her husband, Mike. Their marriage is the perfect “North-meets-South” pairing as Mike spent his youth in frigid upstate New York.
When she’s not writing, Ava can be found chasing her children all over the county, snapping photos of any and everything, visiting one of her local theme parks, or just spending quality time with her family.
Irreplaceable (Gulf Breeze Book 1) by Ava Lynn Wood I received this book from the author for an honest review. 2nd chance love story…yes please!! Who doesn’t ever wonder What If right?
We meet Anna and Will. They are both teens and as we all know teens are dramatic and stupid…LOL. The couple break up because Anna is a bit dramatic, she moves away, and meet up 10 years down the road. Anna’s life is a hot mess. Her marriage is falling apart and so she runs home. What I did love was that Will was the one who longed to be with Anna. Anna on the other hand was too worried about what the neighbors will think. In my mind at her age and what she is dealing with WHO Cares but none the less Anna is worried.
I loved the whole running home can solve your problems. I also loved Will. He was not going to let Anna get away again. I did see a lot of emotional growth between the two characters and they are able to deal with everything that as teens they can’t.
Second chances - OMG! They get to me everytime. This was my first Ava Wood read, and I loved it. The story opens with two eighteen year-old lovers, Anna and Will. Anna overreacts when Will is leaving to attend his brother's bachelor party, leading to them breaking up. For Anna, that is the catalyst for her drastic move away from town. Ten years later, Anna is now coming back home after leaving her husband, who is cheating on her.
Anna was a likable character, sometimes worrying too much about what others would think and what the gossip mill would say. Will is still in love with Anna, and as the story unfolds you can see how time has allowed these two to mature. Knowing they belong together, but also knowing if it had happened sooner, they would not have been prepared for the challenges they are faced with now.
I loved Irreplaceable. I said this is the first Ava Wood book that I have read, but it will not be the last. Ava was able to take a peaceful approach to this story, and made me cry near the end. I could feel every emotion that Anna was experiencing.
By chance, I came across this story by Ava Lynn Wood. It made me think of one of my favorite shows, Sweet Home Alabama. Although the story line is different, it had a sweet magical touch of love as Sweet Home Alabama in my opinion.
Immediately, I knew the secret Anna was withholding from Will. It just made sense, but it was one of those things like I know, I know the answer but I am going to keep reading to confirm what I know is correct (if that makes any sense).
One of my favorite lines, “I tried to bottle you.” This captured his longing for her on a deep level and it was one of the most romantic lines I’d read in a while. I read it several times as my heart caved in at the words.
I enjoyed reading this book. I am going to do a more extensive review on my blog (http://jblissauthor.blogspot.com/). But for those wondering what to read for the weekend…this is a sweet second chance love story worth reading!
Nothing better than a second chance at love! Anna and Will's story was absolutely amazing. They go through so much at a young age and to experience that for of heartbreak is something unbearable. In the end they finally get their happily ever after and become a happy family! I loved this book so much I didn't want it to end! I just love Ava Lynn Wood's books! I can't get enough! I can't wait to read more!
An overreaction from Anna leaves to her breaking up with her childhood sweetheart Will, also the reason why she moved away. Ten years later leaving her cheating husband Anna returns. Will has never stopped loving Anna and she knows she has feelings still for Will, they both realise that what they had is still there and Will is going to make sure that Anna doesn’t run this time. But what happens when the secret that Anna’s kept come out, will they get their happily ever after.
This was a great second chance story. The bumps and twist made it even more interesting. The author did a wonderful job of drawing you in and the characters lovable. Looking forward for more from this series.
This the first Ava Wood book I've read, and won't be my last. I met Ava at a book signing, and offered to read her story for an unbiased review. And I am glad I did.
The writing is excellent with great dialogue. The story is full of emotion, second guessing life choices, living with consequences and about second chances. Anna and Will are likable characters and you will enjoy their story.
