There's nothing to fear in the shadows - you should fear the shadows themselves..
A man who can control shadows is terrorising the magical community of London. Performing a grand ritual that could rip the very fabric of reality apart. Rafe and Ana are reluctant to investigate, it's definitely not their kinda gig - too apocalyptic for their liking... But when they discover their connection to the Prince of Darkness, they find themselves pulled in to his scheme whether they like it or not.
Because the Shadowmancer is not working alone. Someone is pulling the strings. And the only way they can find out who, is to bring the entire world to the brink of oblivion.
Lee Isserow is an award-winning screenwriter and filmmaker, with over fifteen years spent trawling the back streets and dark alleys of the 'entertainment' industry.
Lee lives in Liverpool, England because they accidentally bought a house there. Don't ask how that happened - they used to drink a lot.

🎖 A Most Exceptional Outstanding book 🎖 A veritable treasure trove for any reader who wants to read books that are perfection manifested. Lee isserow always delivers a very vivid set of characters in his books, and a storyline that is original and groundbreaking. In this, the third book in the Freelancer series, its obvious what a creative masterrmind can achieve. The characters in the book are so vividly pictured, complete with pro and cons, that I in a humorous moment asked my self why their phone number werent in my adress book, I could have sworn they should be, since i know them (at least it feel that way). The story that unfolds is unique, mesmerizing and outstandingly intriguing, and there is no chance to guess what will happen. A totally enthralling thrill for a avid seasoned reader to find. I have even found that my mind has been returning to the story, percolating on the cleverness in the way it kept me (the reader) on my toes in eagar anticipation of what would happen next, and how. I didn’t think it would be possible to outdo the previous books in this series since each is uniquely special, and outstanding, but this series just keep getting better. Its even more awe inspiring that the whole series started with a book that in it self was carving out a whole new niche within this genre. Comparing this to other books in the genre is like comparing a all stars team to a local buddy team, both might be good but they certainly dont play in the same division.
Lee Isserow’s writing is some of the most original and all encompassing I have come across. The Freelancers series is a great selection of short books and stories that if not always comfortable, are always witty and thoroughly enjoyable.
There is a reason Rafe doesn’t do favors. Too bad he didn’t remember that before getting drawn into his current, unpaid, case. Once he discovers that a group of magickal wells are being tampered with, he is too good a person, though he would never admit it, to back out.
It seems the last time these magickal wells in London were all linked an entirely new reality was birthed. Luckily that time the world survived. However, there is no guarantee it would survive a second linking.
Who would attempt such a thing? Rafe and Ana are surprised by the answer. Jules is a powerful adept. The only battle he has lent himself to was on the side of the Circle, but when his family is threatened, there is nothing he won’t do to see them safe.
Instead of stopping Jules, the two freelancers join him on his quest to save his family. Now the three must complete the linking ritual with the entire Circle set to stop them. Who will triumph? Can two adepts and one limited magickian stand before the Circle with all it’s might?
Can't get enough of rafe and Ana love following them on their journey seeing where and what they be up against next. Ana getting more powerful as they advanced but still not fully knowing what's going on with herself and other she meet's. Rafe hiding stuff I can feel it big time and we learn something about his pasted with Prince of darkness aka Jules. And I'm happy with the out come with his family and thank god Ana followed her gut about the case. It does have bisexual couple in it but no sex which is good thing that's not my cup of tea to read. But no worries loved the couple and their son who was part of the case. I did come a crossed few errors with the editing like with double words here and there. This is second series never had problem with editing I like to add. Even with few hiccups doesn't pause or stop the flow of the reading.
This is the the third book in the series. This is book above love, journeys, and friendships. The Prince of Darkness is in a gay relationship. I support traditional marriage. Yes, I am GOP mix gal. Regardless, the story was creative. That is why i give this book four stars. This book can be a cliffhanger at the end but to avoid that read the prequel Shadowmancers first.
