Preface For Practical Management of the Dermatologic Patient, we chose common or important dermatologic disorders. We then asked prominent clinicians in dermatology to describe the way in which they manage the patient, what clinical diagnostic criteria are acceptable, and what investigations, although desirable,a re not essential. Each chapter has two contributors, with each contributor working in a different country. Each chapter t,therefore, presents the combined experience and opinions of two clinicians, usually with widely different backgrounds.
