Thomas Ironcutter is finally getting his life back together after being falsely accused of murdering his wife. He has a new love interest and finds himself happier than he's ever been. One day, a friend asks a favor from him; talk to a lady about the seemingly accidental death of her nephew. His ensuing investigation uncovers the murder of several homeless men. There is a serial killer loose in Nashville and when Thomas discovers who it is, all hell breaks loose.
After being honorably discharged as a Sergeant in the United States Army, David Achord found his true calling in law enforcement. His twenty-five year career included stints with the Rutherford County Sheriff's Department and the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department. A lifelong Tennessee native, he is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University and Cumberland University.
I really couldn’t put this book down. Thomas Ironcutter had me on the edge of my chair the whole book. The author is very knowledgeable of police work and politics has a great writing style that makes you keep reading. All of the characters are so real and get in your heart. If you like action books this is a book you will want to read. Hoping it won’t be long before Thomas and his friends are back.
When a number of homeless man were found dead in a set of RR tracks Detective Ironcutter began to wonder if the deaths were caused by a couple of bad policemen. Unfortunately each time he got close to solving the deaths he would get sidetracked.
Was he right? You will have to read the book with all of the twists and turns to find out. Good read.
Very good better than the big name thrillers which are mostly disgusting and retarded. I like the supernatural elements which I assume with be addressed in later installments. Could use more filling in of characters from previous books when they come back.
I've been hooked on zombie and apocalypse novels and took a break to follow David Achord over into the detective genre for the Ironcutter novels. I'm glad I did, and now I would be hooked on detective novels but I know I wouldn't be able to find a series with such engaging characters, fast pace, and complex plot.
