Leigh Ann Lunsford is stay at home mom turned author. She writes Romance/New Adult and loves her happily ever after in all books and movies. She lives with her husband, son, and four dogs in Fleming Island, Florida. When she isn’t writing or reading you can find her stuck in front of really bad reality shows or watching Sons of Anarchy. Leigh Ann has a filthy mouth and a huge amount of sarcasm that knows no end. She hopes to give the voices in her head an outlet with many more novels to come.
‘He still hasn’t seen the stripper pole you put in the basement?’ I question. ‘No. He doesn’t go into my office. We established it’s my space and I don’t want to get him excited until I perfect the routine.’ She pouts.
Avery, please. I’m sober because I’m pregnant. In a few months all the ball bitches will leave their home on Whore Island and come after my man when I’m as big as a house and I need something to whisper in his ear.
I hand Caden my phone. ‘Don’t answer it. Unless it’s the Pope offering me an extra day of sainthood for that conversation.’
‘Lord, he needs sedatives.’ Emberlee sighs. ‘At least with that vixen he won’t need Viagra.’
I wasn’t waiting for the one because you were the one… You’ll be the better half of me until the day I die.
My Review:
Changing Fate had me smirking, snorting and barking with glee at the irreverent humor, salacious wit, clever banter, erotic sensual scenes, and an entertaining storyline packed with naughty fun among the life altering changes of graduations, babies, weddings, moves, and new careers. I cherished my time with this quirky, loud, uninhibited, and outrageous grouping of potty-mouthed friends. I gasped and held my breath more than a few times but sighed contentedly at reaching that oh so satisfying HEA where everyone’s dreams really did come true, and then some. I enjoyed this highly amusing and smoking hot series from beginning to end.
Changing Fate by Leigh Ann Lunsford a fate altering five-star read. This is the fifth and final book in the Endgame series, and what an ending. You do have to have read the first four books first as they all reveal more of the story, and each book follows on from the last, we see the main crew in each book, but each story has a focus and this book that focus is on Caden Monroe the guy who has always been there for everyone, the shoulder to lean on and the wingman when needed, but when his Picasso needed him most, he couldn’t help as he didn’t remember the last four years, the four years where he was working on his Endgame. But a rouge swing of a bat from a bad sport took all that away from him, will he ever remember and be able to get his Picasso back? Avery Michaels has fled, she had her heart broken when her best friend and the man who called her Picasso forgot her, she ran away with a broken heart, will he ever be able to fix it again? Caden will need help from every friend and ever hope he ever had to gain his endgame, will he manage to pull it off? Will Avery give up on one dream to pursue another? Or will her heart never get over being broken? This has been such a great series, I can’t wait to read more by Leigh Ann Lunsford, and I can only hope we get to see more of the characters, maybe in different roles?
Changing Fate (Endgame Series Book 5) by Leigh Ann Lunsford is the fifth book in her Endgame series. I highly recommend that you read the previous books as they follow one another. This story picks up where the last one left off with Caden in the hospital. This story has compassion, romance and even some suspense just because you are waiting to see what happens next. One of the things that I love about this author is creativity for her characters. How she creates them true to life and with so much compassion. Her characters go through so much that you have to fall in love with them and connect to them in some way. Her style of writing is amazing along with her attention to detail. You will love these characters and the roller coaster ride that they take you on. Find out what happens next with Caden and his friends.
Caden Monroe has loved baseball for as long as he can remember until one day when one rogue swing of the bat took it all from him. He has lots some of his memories and he feels he has lost everything. He is struggling to remember the past, build a future but in the process will he lose the one thing that means the most to him? When he calls in reinforcements, will he get her to change her mind and come home? She is his endgame but what happens when you can't remember the past, present and your future is at war with all three? Will they ever find their HEA?
Caden and Avery have been friends and part of the same group of friends forever. This group has been through so many life struggles, some bad and some good. The banter, the humor, and the hot sexy romances is what has made up this group in this series. They will leave you sitting on the edge of you seat waiting to see what will happen with them and needing ice water in the next second cause they are burning up the pages. They will pull you into their world and you will feel what they do. These characters are strong and you will see them grow throughout this story. Caden struggles with his memories and gets frustrated but who wouldn't right? He keeps hoping that they come back to him soon, he wants them back now. Avery struggles each day with watching him trying to remember. She is a tough character except when it comes to Caden. You get to see the rest of the group in this story as well and they are such great complements to these characters. They are really a great support to them. Really, all of these characters have been a support throughout this whole series. There is no doubt that this series will leave you wanting more from these characters and leave you with book hangover. Find out what happens to these characters as they once again struggle with tough decisions and trying to figure out what life has in store for them.
This is my favorite of all the books in this series by Leigh Ann Lunsford. There is so much feeling and compassion in this story I just didn't want to see it end. This series has been one of my favorites and will be for a very long time. I can't wait to see what Leigh Ann has for next! Leigh in Fleming Island, FL with her husband, son and their four dogs. She writes Contemporary Romance/New Adult/Romance Suspense and loves her happily ever after in her stories. This is a fast paced story that will hold your attention to the end. You will not be able to put this book down. I read it one sitting, totally lost track of time and I know you will too. I highly recommend this book as well as the rest in this series. You will fall in love with this group of characters just like I did. They will no doubt find a place in heart.
Changing Fate is the fifth and final book in the epic Endgame Series by the indomitable Leigh Ann Lunsford. Hear that strange clinking sound?? Well that’s the sound of my heart shattering into a million pieces because this incredible series is finished and I am not ready to say good bye!
“I’m hemorrhaging from my soul. No Band-Aid can fix this. No words of wisdom can soothe the ache. No promises can mend the gash in my heart.”
I probably wouldn’t be so devastated if this book hadn’t been so exquisite. But of course we are talking Ms. Lunsford here and she doesn’t do bad or mediocre- she only does exemplary. So this is my lot in life at the moment, to suffer knowing that she has delivered the ultimate ending to a perfect series, and there isn’t any more! That’s complete torture you know- right? But, I console myself with the hope that she is writing something equally brilliant, or knowing her habit of outdoing herself- something even more mind-blowingly good than this book/series is. I have loved each and every one of the Endgame series books, but these last two really stole my heart. I have loved being part of the close-knit group of friends and accompanying them on their journeys. I will miss them. You know when you have something so deliciously tasty that you can’t help indulging yourself and then you end up binging till you make yourself feel quite ill and/or incredibly guilty? Well, here’s a warning…. Once you’ve read one of Ms. Lunsford’s books, you WILL want to indulge yourself over and over again…. But the beauty here is you CAN have as much as you like without feeling ill or guilty. The only things that you are sure to get are: moist panties, an increase in heart rate and body temperature, immense satisfaction and a craving for MORE!!! It’s a win, win situation if you ask me!
Caden Monroe has always loved the game. Baseball was his life with his best friends, that is until one rogue swings of a bat takes it all from him.
It took his memory, his best friend, his Picasso. While struggling to remember the past 4 years, it forces his true love to flee from heartbreak. But he has a plan, he calls in his reinforcements in which he needs to complete it, but will she come home for it? Avery Michaels is his endgame, but how can he deal with his past, present and future at war with each other and you’re the one left alone.
Changing Fate is the final book in the Endgame Series and my fifth read by this incredible author. These can be read as a stand-alone but for an even better experience with this series I recommend that they be read as their series! I’m truly going to miss this series, the characters, the story line and just the sheer brilliance of this series, I have loved every second of reading this book and series, but cannot wait to see what Leigh Ann brings us with her others stories.
Seriously Leigh Ann Lunsford just keeps getting better and better, each story she brings just continuously keeps drawing me deeper and deeper! Each book in this series continues to get better than the one before. This book just was a brilliant round up of not only Caden’s story but all the others characters stories as a whole. This book carried on directly after the events of Book 4, but also covers many years after. For how many years were packed into this book it never felt rushed, each character got to end their story and the epilogue really opened up a new door of possibilities with the endgame characters kids getting their own stories. She really knows how to keep the reader, clutching their heart and demanding and wanting more! She continues to connect the reader to the characters and their storylines. Throughout this book and the previous books, we get too see the connection that these group of friends really have and how deep their connection, love & support runs through them all. I love that she writes them in dual POV’s and this one had numerous POV’S with all characters and that we can connect to the characters through their own personal thoughts and feelings rather than what others think.
There is a great range of steamy scenes, romance and general friendship within this book and it makes a great read that you can’t help but connect with the character’s emotions and feelings. I’ve laughed, I’ve Smiled, I’ve been sad, frustrated and angry, I’ve been heartbroken and truly shocked to the core. Leigh Ann Lunsford defiantly knows how to take the reader on an emotional rollercoaster through-out her books. But she also writes these books with such realness you can’t help but find some of it relatable in some way. This book is raw, real and completely addictive, I read in one sitting and was completely and utterly compelled from the first page until the end, I didn’t want to put it down afraid I may miss something. I’m just so sad this series is coming to an end, but so happy that all our characters get their HEA that they all so rightly deserve.
Caden in the previous books had been more in the background than the others, until book 4 when we really get to see a different side of him all down to Avery. After the ending of Book 4 my heart defiantly needed to be repaired, and it mostly defiantly was, and then some. Caden is trying so hard to bring back all memories that he lost, he is fighting his emotions especially when it comes down to the emotions towards Avery. Unbeknown to him she is the biggest thing he has forgotten. It’s heart-breaking to see the change in Avery in this book, you can feel her pain through the pages, that she continues to face every day. Her passion for painting has gone and her love has disappeared. We see her go through ups and downs all while trying to deal with the loss of her love. When Caden decides to make a plan, it’s the most beautiful and thoughtful plan. It’s romantic, beautiful and really shows the depth of his love. I loved reading all the characters story play out over the years that follow. With them expanding their families to each of them getting their lives in a place in which they want it to go. With careers, they worked hard for and love along with friends & families by their sides. I would love to have a group of friends like these. Nothing can ever break them, and I’m sad to see them go!
This is another incredible book and the perfect ending to this brilliant series! Hopefully this isn’t the last we read of these characters, and hopefully the ending opens up new doors for the kids to have their stories told just like their parents! THANK-YOU LEIGH ANN LUNSFORD FOR AN INCREDIBLE, CAPTIVATING AND LOVING SERIES WITH AMAZING CHARACTERS!
Changing Fate is book 5 in the Endgame series by Leigh Ann Lunsford. This series will always hold a special place in my heart. This series was the beginning of my love for anything written by Leigh Ann Lunsford. She is now, without a single doubt, one of my favourite authors. I only need to know the date of the next release and I will order as soon as it becomes available. I do not even need to know what it is about.
Caden is my favourite guy. There is just something amazing and special about him that touched me and made me experience so many feelings and emotions. He is my ideal book boyfriend. The group of friends, as a whole, have an unbreakable bond. These bonds have been shaken and stretched throughout the series, but when things got real, they were an impenetrable force. The special connection they shared is one I have wished for all my life. They are family. Some by blood. All by choice.
Caden faces a mammoth fight to remember. His pain cries out from the pages. His story is one that speaks to me the loudest. Avery, as the blurb of this book states, is his endgame. I was beside myself while their story unfolded. The way the stories in this series have woven together and each character has their own amazing story, makes this series and it’s author a part of a very small number of authors with the unique quality of taking a group of friends and turning it into one incredible reading experience after another. The gang of Endgame, as a whole, is what makes it stand out from so many other series.
Leigh Ann Lunsford is such an inspiration. She writes stories I completely escape into. The stories are believable, fast paced and are paced with never ending action and drama. They ooze excitement, sexiness, humour and heartache. The male characters are dirty talking, baad mouthed, hard to tame, loyal beyond belief, and totally shocking. You never quite know what is going to flow from their mouths. Then there is the women of the group. They are a mix of sweet, sassy spitfires. They each are perfectly matched to their men. Changing Fate had more than meets the eye. It was more than I could have hoped or ever anticipated. I did not know what was in store for Caden, but his story was more mind blowing than any other. It was overloaded with all the epic elements that make up a best selling book/series. I mean, it is ridiculous how crazy talented Leigh Ann Lunsford is. But boy, am I ever thankful that she produces such fine work. I need books just like the Endgame series in my life. They are why my love of books just gets stronger every day. Authors like Leigh Ann Lunsford and their top quality work makes me so thankful that I have this passion for reading. The brilliant writing this author produces is so good, I believe I would struggle to find someone that did not enjoy this book, this series and this author, and the beautiful stories she pens.
5 amazing stars. Now I can only hope and pray that the Endgame offspring get their stories. Caden’s story was yet another superior quality read. The series was simply sensational.
Changing Fate (Endgame Series Book 5) By: Leigh Ann Lunsford 5 out of 5 stars
The story Changing Fate (Endgame Series Book 5) by Leigh Ann Lunsford is a sports romance book. This is the totally awesome next book in the Endgame Series and to anyone who has read the entire series up to this book it doesn’t disappoint. I can’t say enough about how the author has created a series and characters that are unforgettable and this is a book and series that you do not want to miss out on. This series is one that must be read in order as each book not only gives a look into the lives of the couple who are falling in love, it also expands on the life and friendships that are a critical part of this series. One of the reasons I love this book so much is that the author was able to tap into your feelings and love of both Caden and Avery in such a way that I found it almost unbearable to see these two apart. If you have not started this series yet I highly suggest that you get all five books and start a book marathon. Put them on the top of your TBR list. This is the continuing story of Caden and Avery.
In one night Caden lost his memory and his best friend. As he tries to remember the past he is frustrated as he begins to realize that there is something important that he can’t remember. Will Caden’s memory finally return? Avery is having a hard time dealing with Caden’s memory loss and this causes her to run. She becomes lost in her pain. Will Avery be able to get through this time in her life? Will she find the courage to face her situation head on?
This is a beautiful story of true love and has me believing in soul mates. Life isn’t always fair and things happen to derail life plans. What does fate have in store for Caden and Avery? Will they finally find themselves in each other’s arms again? This book had me laughing, frustrated, and reaching for the tissue box. It is one of those books where you love the characters so much that what they are going through and the pain of their situation grabs hold of you and just won’t let go. I couldn’t stop thinking, “Things just have to work out, they just have to!” Friends and family are very, very important in this book. Even when everyone doesn’t agree, fights start, feelings get hurt, they work through it. The bantering back and forth in this book will have you laughing and had me falling off the couch! These characters have no filters whatsoever and things just come out. I remember when I started this series and the wonderful feelings that I had when I finished each book. I didn’t want this book to end, ever. This book does contain adult language and adult situations. It would be recommended for those 18 years of age or older.
5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ There are many, many words that I could use to describe Changing Fate, the fifth book in the Endgame Series, by Leigh Ann Lunsford, but the only one that seems right to me is ‘perfect’. It was the perfect ending to what has been an absolutely outstanding series. I have completely and utterly fallen in love with the characters that have appeared in these books. After each one I have said that that couple are my favourite but in reality for me the author has saved her best couple until last – and my gosh it was well worth the wait! After the heartbreak of the ending of Fighting Fate (and I mean I was full on crying and heartbroken) Leigh Ann has managed to write a book that has both simultaneously broken and stitched back together my heart as well as make me laugh, cry and a whole host of other emotions. Throughout the whole series I have loved Avery! She has been there for everybody, helped them when they needed her but for years she kept her relationship with Caden a secret and now it is their chance to shine except there is the small problem that after Caden’s accident he cannot remember any of his time with Avery where they were more than friends. I cried for Avery when she realised Caden didn’t remember that part of their lives. I felt her every emotion because they had become my favourite couple and I desperately want them to be together! I completely lost count how many times I cried whilst reading this book. I loved that as well as continuing on with Avery and Caden’s story we got chapters from all of the other characters too! I love the friendship that these guys have with each other. They are literally like a family and all I feel from them all is love – they just have this amazing connection. I think it’s fair to mention that not only do we have the fantastic characters of Deacon, Saylor, Emberlee, Brody, Mason, Brecklynn, Avery and Caden but there are also their parents and the children! There was just a brilliant host of characters in this series who I have grown to adore. It is with 100% honesty that I say I am gutted that this series is over. I have loved every single word that I have read over the five books and I really hope there is more to come! I desperately hope the authors hint at the end of the book is true!! It’s without doubt that Leigh Ann Lunsford has become one of my favourite authors, her flawless writing has been a joy to read and I can only look forward to reading more from her in the future. If you have loved this series as much as I have then you will not be disappointed in this final book – it is as said earlier perfect!
Changing Fate (Endgame Series #5) by Leigh Ann Lunsford 5 Star Review ***This book is not a standalone, it must be read in order with the other Endgame books*** Changing Fate is the last book in the Endgame Series by Leigh Ann Lunsford and all I can say is what a way to go out!! Caden and Avery have their lives planned out for after college, they know what they are going to do, where they are going to live but they mostly know that they are together and in love. Until one night and a fellow baseball player’s un-sportsman like behavior causes Caden to lose his memory of the last four years. In his mind they are still seniors in high school and while he still loves Avery she is just his best friend. After everything they have been through the past four years, having Caden not remember their time together breaks Avery’s heart. She can’t bear to hear of his conquests or believe that she and their love isn’t enough to have him remember her and what they shared, so she does what she needs to do, instead of fighting for them she leaves for an art internship in Prague. She will spend the summer learning what she can from a master and then decide what her life will look like now that she doesn’t have Caden anymore. Will Caden regain his memory? Will Avery come back from Europe or stay there and start a new life away from her family, friends and Caden? To say I loved this book would be an understatement. I love the way Ms. Lunsford tied up any loose ends and I especially loved the way she gives the reader special glimpses into everyone’s lives as the years go by. When I started this series I wasn’t sure that I would like it and while the first book was the slowest for me I am so glad I continued on with the series as I have loved each and every book since. Now I have to keep my fingers crossed that Ms. Lunsford will build a world around the kids of Deacon, Mason, Emberley, Caden and Avery. While there are some adult situations that I wouldn’t recommend for those under 18 I would definitely recommend this to any reader out there that likes to read books that make you feel like a member of the family.
Changing Fate (Endgame Series Book 1) by: Leigh Ann Lunsford 5 Stars It's unforgiving, beautiful, your story and you were not afraid to share it. What you bled all over this building is convoluted and precise, it is perfection. The ugly truth of life begins with love, unrequited, everlasting, joyful, painful, it is all here in your work. Paint the next stage of your story, it do it for you, for him, keep building on the foundation that created this and you will have something untouchable. Something many seek and never find. Avery and Caden have been through so much in the four years they have been together. Every time they want to come clean about their relationship something happens to one of their friends and they postpone telling them. They decide no matter what they would do it at the last game Caden, Decan and Mason play together. After the game someone swings a bat and it hits Caden in the head dropping him to the ground. In that instant Caden looses his memory, his best friend, his Picasso. Avery is heartbroken that Caden does not remember her and She cannot stand to be in the room with him to watch him drift further away from her. So she decides to take part in a fellowship in Prague to get away for six weeks. When Caden starts to remember things he goes back to where he and Mason lived. When he walks into his room and sees the yellow paint on the mattress his memories start to flood back and suddenly he remembers that Avery belongs to him. He also realizes she ran from him and it may be too late because Avery is broken and in her place is a stranger. Will they be able to work out their problems and move forward or is Avery too far gone. Omg this book could not have been any more perfect and is my favorite so far of the series. The author has done a wonderful job with the story lines and the characters. A Great book has many parts to make it a story and her characters quickly take up residence in your heart and days and weeks later you are still thinking about that book. I will most definately be reading this series again. Bravo Leigh Ann and Congratulations on another wonderful book.
Changing Fate (Endgame Series Book #5) by Leigh Ann Lunsford 5 stars
Changing Fate is book 5 of Leigh Ann Lunsford's Endgame Series and CANNOT be read as a standalone, you MUST read Fighting Fate first.
Well Leigh Ann Lunsford has done it once again. She knocked this one out of the park, pun intended. We were left hanging in Fighting Fate and I needed to know what happened like I need my next breath, and what a great book she's written. Told in multi-Pov, this book not only gives us the resolution to the cliffhanger of Fighting Fate, but it also gives us glimpses into the rest of the groups lives too. I was so happy to be back in the other characters minds again! I'll be going back to reread this whole series for a long time coming and will definitely be recommended ALL the time! Caden wakes in the hospital not remembering the last 4 years of his life. He still thinks they're going on Spring Break and that Julie hasn't been born yet. He is frustrated that no one can tell him everything that has happened to help piece back his memory, but getting to know these new people in his life all over again is rough. As his memory starts to come back in small pieces, and then painfully quick, he realizes what has happened and why his Picasso has left the country for Prague. Will he be able to keep his friends from spilling the beans of the best way to get her back or is she now gone for good? Avery has gotten the opportunity of a lifetime to do street art in Prague and it will count for school. Getting the sign she needed, she's off and miserable. Making decisions for the future, that will get her as far away from where she wants to be is her answer. Out and about for a bachelorette party, she's drawn to something that brings this couple full circle. Will she stay? I loved getting to see the future of all of these couples and the kids and I really love the possibility of more, I mean who wouldn't want more of this group and the kids? Can't wait to see what else Leigh Ann Lunsford has up her sleeve! What a great series and I loved every minute of it!
Changing Fate – Endgame Series Book 5 by Leigh Ann Lunsford – 5 Stars
***This is absolutely 100% NOT a stand-alone, do not read first – please read this fantastic series in order***
It is very infrequent that I am so excited that I can’t wait to read a book and yet so sad to read a book at the same time. Being book 5 of 5 Changing Fate is one of those books for me. It picks up right where Fighting Fate left off. I think Changing Fate might have been the most emotional for me. Avery really tears at my heart strings and when she achieves her sainthood status, I will be sure and circle her saintly weeks in my calendar. “Don’t answer (the phone) unless it’s the Pope offering me an extra day of sainthood for that conversation.” Surely at some point it will be the YEAR of Saint Avery. I don’t know if it was because of the anticipation of reading or my desire to want the absolute, very best for Avery but her story was had more humor, more tears, more… more… just more! She is such a great friend to everyone and best of all she is a great friend to herself. It’s so nice to read such a strong character.
“Sometimes, this passage we’ve endeavored has been like walking rough terrain barefoot. We’ve had scratches, bumps and blow-ups—but we’ve come to the other side stronger, with a broader respect and understanding of love.”
The Endgame Series has been a fun ride. Learning about such a fantastic group of friends while watching their triumphs and failures, their joy and grief, and their acceptance of all that is and the ability to move on without regret. Each character is written with such complex emotions and to follow them through their college years and beyond was very enjoyable. Some stories I liked more than others, heck I have some friends I like more than others – so that is natural. I would absolutely, 100% recommend this entire series to a friend. I am now looking forward to re-reading from the ENTIRE series from beginning to end.
Changing Fate, by Leigh Ann Lunsford, is the final book in the Endgame series and the spectacular conclusion to Fighting Fate. It is very important to note that the stories in the Endgame series are not stand alone books and need to be read in order: (#1) Playing Fate (#2) Kismet (#3) Karma (#4) Fighting Fate (#5) Changing Fate The five books feature each of the five main friends - Deacon, Emberlee, Mason, Avery and Caden. As these friends embark on adulthood, love interests come into the picture setting each of the worlds into a tailspin they need to gain control of. In the midst of their stories, we also meet Saylor, Brody and Brecklynn. Each of these stories overlaps the previous story in some way, adding onto the previous but then opening a whole new relationship and future.
In Fighting Fate, we learned that Avery had fallen in love and had been in love for years. She kept that love secret because she did not want it to impact the friendship and family that her friends had always counted on, but at what cost?! Then fate through a curve ball that absolutely no one anticipated and everything changed, but how much? We learned of a love so pure, so true that it shone in its own brilliance, even if it was hidden. It was just waiting to burst forth.
Coming to Changing Fate, we crest that cliffhanger that was left at the end of Fighting Fate and we are about to see what true love is really worth! In Fighting Fate, we were given quite an in depth look into Avery – more of who she is and what drives her. Who she was outside of what we were given in the first three books of the series. In Changing Fate, we see more of Caden and just how much more he is than the stage that was set in preceding books. The Endgame series is absolutely one of the best series I have ever read. I loved every minute, every word – breathtaking!
Just seeing this book on my iPad shelf had me doing a happy dance. Seriously you CAN NOT go wrong with a Leigh Ann Lunsford read. You may laugh, cry, want to throw your book, pace your hallways until the next book is released waiting for the cliffhanger to be resolved...regardless which of her books you choose to start with you will fall in love with her words and not regret spending your precious free time lost in her creativity. Get ready for some wicked humor...don't say I didn't warn you. You might want to grab some tissues, too...she gets me every time!
After the way Leigh Ann left us hanging with Fighting Fate she redeemed herself ten fold. I knew she wouldn't disappoint, but that cliff hanger was a doozy. She knows how to keep you coming back for more. As anxious as I was to see where the rest of this series was going I'd panic as I watched the percentage left as I read...I wanted to keep reading yet I never wanted it to end.
This story is focused on Caden and Avery aka Picasso’s struggles with the past and where Caden's memory has left off. Can Avery continue without having her memories being at the same timeframe as Caden? She won't force his memories, but can she handle where he is with his?
Even though Caden and Avery are the main focus I love how we see where everyone else ends up and where their adult lives are headed. The humor, friendship, loyalty and struggles with this close knit group of friends never gets old. I want to find a tribe like this in real life.
I'm hoping Leigh Ann isn't teasing with her final thoughts about a future series! I think it may be more epic than this series….if that's possible.
Changing Fate ( Endgame Series Book 5 ) By Leigh Ann Lunsford 5/5
Changing Fate is the fifth book in the Endgame Series by Leigh Ann Lunsford. It is NOT a standalone! It should be read it proper order. Starting with :Playing Fate, Kismet, Karma, Fighting Fate, and then Changing Fate. I can not say enough great things about this book ( and series )!!! I have loved each and every book! The amazing friendships that are formed, are extremely rare to find these days. And the camaraderie amongst the characters, is fantastic!! I laugh throughout the whole entire book!! The way Leigh Ann writes, she has the ability to make you feel connected to the amazing characters. I have felt a connection to each one, in one way or another. But I have to admit, i felt a deeper connection with these characters in this book. I'm not sure why, I'm still trying to figure that out!! Caden Monroe and Avery Michaels seem to have it all. Their relationship is thriving, they truly couldn't be any more happier !! Then one mistake and everything changes. Caden loses his memory after the horrific accident. He doesn't remember the one person, that means the words to him. Avery is crushed beyond words. She is completely broken and lost without him. She doesn't the one things she knows how to do, she runs and doesn't look back. Caden is on a mission to win her back. Will be be able to it? Will he ever get his memory back and remember who she is ? Some things are worth fighting for, and love is!! You must read this book to see what happens with Caden and Avery’s epic love story!! You will not be able to put it down!! Another marvelous job, Leigh Ann!! I truly do hope you write an Endgame Series jr. ! I can't wait to see what happens next!!!!!!
Changing Fate is the perfect conclusion to a beautifully written series. The entire Endgame series will have you falling in love with each person and couple involved. These lifelong friends have always been there for one another and survived all the obstacles life and love has thrown at them.
This final story opens exactly where Fighting Fate left us. Caden is recovering from the swing of a bat to the head and doesn’t remember the love and secret relationship he has with Avery. Avery is devastated at the fact that Caden looks at her like he did before they professed their love all those years ago. The stolen kisses, the secret rendezvous’, the adoration he showed her when they were alone and more importantly the promises they made of their future. Without knowing if Caden will ever remember what they shared she is forced to let go and learn to walk a different path without him. Caden feels something when his childhood friend in close and doesn’t know why he is so protective of her and why she is so distant.
Changing Fate was worth the wait and I cried at so many parts of Caden and Avery’s story. I was so happy to read more about this family of friends, their parents and their children. This series shows how families will go the extra mile to share their milestones and lives regardless of distance. The support they show one another is what being a family is about.
We are treated to so much in this final book. I loved everything about every page. The humor, the interaction, the steamy scenes and especially the love. I really hope we get to see this family again and that this really isn’t the end of the Endgame.
A 5 starter read for Changing Fate, The Endgame Series Book 5, by Leigh Ann Lunsford. This is the final book in The Endgame Series. I have read them all and after reading each one, I couldn't choose a favorite BUT this book so far is definitely my favorite!!! This is not only the conclusion to Caden and Avery’s story but we get to see everyone else's lives too.
Caden Monroe has loved Avery Michaels since forever but when he gets hit by a bat, he wakes up with no memory of their love and time together. It sure exactly how much more she can deal with, she decides to take the offer she was given and go paint. Caden is getting more and more frustrated since no one will tell him anything about his past. He knows that there are big secrets that they are keeping from him and he needs to know what they are!!! When he goes back to his house, as soon as he walks in the door, his memories start flooding back. Knowing that he not only wants Avery back in his life, he needs her to feel complete. So he gathers his friends and family and the start project, Get Avery Back. Will he be able to prove his love to her and get her back or will he regret keeping their 4 years together a secret for the rest of his life? Reading everything that Caden and Avery went through and how they got to where they needed to be, was great. I absolutely loved this book, I know I have said that about all of the other books in this series but this book completely had my heart!!!!! I can not say enough amazing things about this book!!!! You definitely have to not only read this book but the entire series and I hope that you love them as much as I have.
Changing Fate by Leigh Ann Lunsford is a stunning five star novel. This is the fifth and final book in the endgame series. I wish there was more to this story. I could not put down this series and have enjoyed every moment of it. This is not a stand alone. Please read the other four books before you proceed with this review. At the end of Fighting Fate, Caden and Avery are ready to let their secret out with their friends. They have been dating for four years now and no one knows except their parents. How they kept it a secret for so long is hard to tell but they somehow pulled it off. They have always been more concerned with their friends’ drama and not wanting to throw their relationship into the mix. Then when Caden gets taken down by a baseball bat thrown by an upset opponent, everything changes. Thank goodness he is going to survive, but now he has lost four years of his memories. Avery must explain to their friends everything they have been hiding but can't tell Caden because of doctor’s orders. He needs to have his own memories, they say. Don't feed him anything, they say. When Avery realizes she can't handle his memory loss because it is just to difficult for her, she takes off. All their friends try to help them both but are having trouble trying to get them back to how they were. Caden knows he was in love with her but can't figure out how to get back there when so much of his memories are missing. Will those memories ever come back and if they do, will it be too late for them to mend their relationship? This book will not disappoint as the finishing touches of the endgame series come to a head.
LEIGH ANN LUNSFORD HITS ANOTHER HOMERUN‼ Changing Fate is the last book in the Endgame Series and I have to say I am disapointed because I want her to keep writing this series it is so good and this one was the best‼ Caden Monroe is trying to get his memory back from an accident that involved his head and a bat. He can’t remember his friends or people that should be ingrained in his brain as well as his heart. He can’t remember what plans he made for his life and he can’t remember his one true love, Avery Michaels. He feels empty because he is suppose to remember and it is not there. The Dr. Won’t anyone tell him his story because he has to remember on his own. Avery Michaels aka Picasso is so in love with Caden that when he doesn’t recognize her she is crushed. Her love for him and his not knowing her has her fleeing the country. She thinks by going somewhere else she can take her mind off of Caden and all their friends. Soon she finds out that the inspiration will not flow and she is stuck like a blank canvas, no desire to do her life’s calling. How will Caden’s plans to reunite with his Picasso play out and will things get fixed between them? Will Avery Be his endgame? Leigh Ann Lunsford is one of the most talented authors I read. I love love the endgame series it makes you fall in love with the characters. At times you love them, hate them, get mad and then frustrated at them and then I would find myself laughing so hard my stomach hurt. Thank you Leigh Ann Lunsford for sharing you talents with us! You truly are amazing!
This was the perfect ending to a great series. I am going to miss this group of friends a little more than I do most characters. Leigh Ann wrote this series in such a way that you felt like you were there right along with all of them as they overcame some pretty serious downfalls. The love and support that every single character, from the first 4, to all the new characters, the parents and then eventually all the kids, showed toward each other was so much more than I could put into words. These are the relationships we all strive to have in our lives and if you're lucky you get at least half the amount of love that poured off these pages. And not just the happy love. I'm talking tough love too. The one that truly shows just how much a person cares about you.
I won't lie. I think Changing Fate tore at my heart more than any of the other stories but I should have known after the tantrum I threw when finishing Fighting Fate. I'm just happy the Leigh Ann was kind enough to put my heart back together. Eventually.
I don't think I can pick one particular character I loved the most in this series as they all touched me in one way or another with their struggles. Just know that if you pick up this series you've signed up for a roller-coaster of emotions but it's so worth it.
Now, please tell me we get at least a book about Julie because that little snippet at the end has me wanting more!
Changing Fate Endgame Series Book 5 Leigh Ann Lansford ☆☆☆☆☆ Last book in this series. This is Not a standalone. Must read 1 - 4 first! College, friends and love are involved in this romance story.
Avery Michaels college student. Loves painting and art. She also secretly loves the boy. Her journey's just begun and her friends are all calling on her for help. She is the glue that holds everybody together. Now it's her turn and life as she knew it is gone. Will her friends be her glue and hold her together? Will her leaving be the answer? Will she find her place in this powerful love story?
Caden Monroe loves baseball, loves his girl and loves his choice in careers. Then a rogue swing of the bat causes his whole life to change. He has no memory of who his best friend is. Nor does he remember his Picasso. Now he has to fight to remember who he was, what he had and if he can, can he get her back? Is Caden up for this challenge? Everything has changed and the one person he forgets is the one person he needs the most.
Leigh Ann Lansford rocked this story. Her characters are huge, their lives are real and she pulls you into her books. I could not put this book down. I was so involved with what was going on. The ups and downs were set just right. I laughed, I cried and I was really mad. Sometimes books take me away. This one did just that. Well done Leigh Ann Lansford! Can't wait to see where you take me next. Do to language and adult content. Not for those under 18.
Changing Fate Book five in the Endgame Series Leigh Ann Lunsford 5 stars
Wow where to start with this. Please make sure you've read all book in series first to get everyone's background and history, it is a series you won't want to miss out on. So we pick up straight from Fighting Fate, Caden has now been released from hospital but still has no memories of his college life or the love of his life. Avery struggles being around the group especially when Caden makes comments and remakes which break her heart even more. While away on an artist study group abroad Avery turns into a slight rebel and has an artist block, nothing her new friends say can get her out of it. Fortunately Caden while at home starts to remember snippets of his past and is starting to get annoyed why he is never invited on the weekly Avery calls. One visit to his home tag the he shared with Mason everything hits him like a freight training and has a mission on his hands to win back the love of his life. Is Avery ready to let him back into her heart or has she moved on? This is the final book in the series and is outstanding! It finally brings everyone back together while they've had their separate lives and shows no matter how much drama or distance between them they find their way back to each in the end. A truly HEA. The characters have developed so much over the course of these books and it shows how some but not all have matured. Well done Leigh
Changing Fate by Leigh Ann Lunsford is Book 5 in the Endgame Series and this series was just amazing from book 1 through book 5. This is definitely one of my favorites of 2017. The author is an amazing writer who can keep her readers entertained. By Book 3 or 4 I sometimes usually can wait for the next book to come out but, not with this series. She kept us guessing throughout it all and I loved it all!! The books should be read in order especially books 4 and 5. Every book focused on a different couple but book 5 also gave us an update on all the couples. Where they are, what they are doing, it was just amazing.
I hate to give spoilers and not sure how much I can say without doing so but let's just say everyone gets what they want. At the end of Book 4 Cade gets hit in the end and loses his memory. He girlfriend is absolutely heartbroken. He doesn't remember they were together and no one else knew about it because they were dating in secret. What will happen to Cade and the love of his life? Will he remember what they had between them? And when he remembers will it be to late to save the relationship? You will have to read the book to find out because I cannot tell you. All I will say is Cade totally made me fall Inlove with him during Changing Fate.
I wish I could give this book more then 5 stars but that's just not possible.
Changing Fate by Leigh Ann Lunsford is book 5 In the endgame series. Because it is book 5 I do recommend reading the other 5 books. This book wraps up the whole series and so well! This really was the perfect way to end it. I feel like there could be an opening for other stories in the future if the author chooses to do so. It literally starts right where book 4 ends which was nice because I didn't have a huge gap of time and didn't forget anything. After the cliffhanger of book 4 and Caden's memory loss and then Avery fleeing I was pretty nervous! Their friendship is pretty phenomenal to be honest. This series has been a lot of fun and I have really grown to love the characters and storylines. My favorite part is a spoiler so I will leave it out but I really loved how the author Incorporated everyone in this book. The character development was well done and it was easy to like them and their different personalities. Some of the quotes are freaking hilarious. I chuckled pretty loudly a few times. They are all grown up and facing many changes. And even though things are tougher for a while and they are always there for each other. Anyway I enjoyed reading this and look forward to other books from Leigh Ann In the future. 4 star rating!
Yes, she has done it once again. This book is worth so much more than 5 stars. Truly amazing series and I still can’t seem to get enough of it. I crave it and need more and more. Leigh Ann knows how to get the reader addicted and craving more. It is a very addictive series. When I first started reading this book I was in tears. Yes, it is a tear jerker. It broke my heart that Caden was suffering and no one could do anything about it. He had to get it back on his own and when he finally set his mind to it he would be ok. Caden Monroe only wanted one girl, Avery Michaels, Picasso as he called her. He had been in love with her so long and it was breaking his heart that he was having to go through all of this. Will he ever regain his memory? Is it too late for him and Avery? Avery Michaels was in love with Caden and now her heart was broke in half. She had lost her strength, her rock, her other half. She did not know what to do without it. She would try and piece her life back together again but could she do it all by herself. Her friends tried to help but would that be enough? Great book. Loved every minute of it. This is such a wonderful series.
I LOVE Leigh Ann Lunsford, and her brilliant writing style, even when she brings me to my knees with dramatic emotion. It almost killed me to come fashionably late to the Endgame Series, because with every new book, she only raises her own bar of excellence higher, not to mention, she's a true sports fan, so of course any sports books by her are going to be EPIC! And Changing Fate is absolutely no exception. Now, I'm not going to go into any detail with a description, you'll just have to read the blurb, as I'll get going and give everything away with spoiler douchery, so all that's left is my fan girl gushing. (<-There's your warning) Once again, her realistic stories are heart wrenching, angst filled goodness, which had my eyes leaking a time or two. And that's because she completely transported me into her world, and I felt like I was one of the group of friends. The sexiness is HOT, the well placed humor is hilarious, and it wouldn't be her if there wasn't a loud f-bomb dropping twist or two. I could go on and on all night, but instead, I encourage everyone to just go and read Changing Fate for themselves! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
This was an awesome ending to a wonderful series. I loved all the characters. They were well developed and it was hard not to fall in love with each of them. Caden is holding on while he tries to piece things back together. Avery is heartbroken and conflicted on whether to take an opportunity to do street art. Emberlee is wanting something she won't ask for, but she is a wonderful mother. Brody loves Emberlee and he is holding on to a job but is faced with new opportunities. Mason is doing great but misses home and his friends. Brecklynn is missing her friends but is head over heels in love with Mason and will stay with him wherever he may go. Deacon is taking care of his children and as always supporting his friends. Saylor is really struggling with past insecurities and she also misses her friends. As life changes and they all grow into adults, they face the hard ships all of us face at one point in our life. We all have to grow up, but unfortunately sometimes that takes you away from your friends. We live, learn, and laugh. We grow and true friendships will always grow with us.
Changing Fate is book 5 of Leigh Ann's Endgame Series and is not lacking in any sense of the word. It's extremely strong from the first Chapter to the very end and won't disappoint. If you've been reading this series, you won't want to miss the final book and get the rest of Caden and Avery's story. As you know, if you've been reading this series, there has been some overlap in the books (which is necessary in order to tell the story from a different point of view) but I can say Changing Fate is all new as it's the conclusion for this close knit group of friends. The humor in this book is excellent and so perfect for these characters. I found myself laughing out loud a few times and shaking my head many others. I can't recommend this series enough, it has become one of my favorite series and I was a little sad to see it end and have to say good bye to my favorite group of friends. However, there is hope for a spinoff series, hopefully Leigh Ann decides to go there for at least one or two books!
This is the fifth, and final, book in the Endgame Series. You must read them in order even though each book features a different couple. These books are about a super close group of friends, so you get updates on everyone, in each book. These are friends that you would be lucky to have.
I am sad that this is the end. But hopefully we get the next generation. Especially after that epilogue!
This book picks right up where the previous ended. Caden doesn’t remember the last four years. Avery is broken and hurt.
I absolutely love how Caden let her know that he remembers…everything!
This is almost like two books in one. After Caden and Avery, we get chapters from the others and updates years down the line. We get to see how their families grow, how they struggle, and how they all come back together.
I have to say mace is gonna have his hands full with his boys. The water balloon! OMG I was laughing so hard.
