The book depicts very well how difficult it can be for a person to share its fetish with a possible partner or even a casual sexual encounter. Jake will have a couple of misadventures when proposing it and will eventually think that he must bury this need in order to live a ''normal'' life while Amber will crave to learn about this exciting new discovery about her. Both will develop an obsession that will affect their daily life; chatting on a spanking forum will open for them new hopes. I was quite deceived by the way the author treated how Jake and Amber's difficulties were dealt, but ultimately there is an HEA.
