Rate this book
Set amidst the beauty and tragedy of rural Mexico, Teardrop Headlights leads readers through the dark world of a traveling preacher’s son caught in a web of abject poverty and growing religious madness. Teardrop Headlights is a story of survival, of “making do” despite the most daunting circumstances and unspeakable tragedy. Ultimately, it is a story of self-discovery, healing, and hope...of overcoming the demons of abuse and addiction and finding one's way back to the God of love.

i found this book in an abandoned car i saw nearly a year ago and was tempted to bring it home. lonely literature with legitimately no telling how long it had been there nor if it was read at all but i had to grab it. ive been off of my reading kick for a few months now but chose this to dive back into it due to its story and how quick of a read i knew itd be, what i hadnt any idea of is just how much this man went through.. to an extent this was understandable and easy to connect with my own experiences as someone who was brought up in the church, the church of predominately mexican catholics especially. but what i wasnt expecting were the tribulations and utter pain that it seemed as though Moore dealt with throughout so much of his life prior to opening up about what had happened throughout his upbringing. i understand leaving his family and putting his foot down in order to stay put in the home he was beginning to lose a connection to was a great step toward the path of forgiveness and healing although i really admire Moore’s approach to his life as this book came to an end. i hope hes doing well and that he knows this book was a ride i wasn’t expecting.

Where should I start?

It took a while to bring myself to read this book that my dad wrote because I'd heard many of the stories and read many of them prior to the book being published but the way Benjamin (MY dad) tells a story is engaging! I didn't want to put the book down once I started reading! Amazing job, Dad!

Worth every moment

Not written in self pity. Factual and honest. The last chapters telling what he learned are wonderful, insightful and inspiring. His revelations both humble me and challenge me to grow closer to our Lord. What's real book, a real story!
