It hurt to look back and remember the one that got away. In Chimere's defense, life's circumstances caused her and the love of her life, to lose contact after high school; but distance didn't mean anything when daydreams appeared and pulled at her heartstrings. She'd compared and endured a few others, but none could compare to Jaleel Madden. Their journeys couldn't fight fate; and Jaleel, being the first to take the necessary step, assisted their hearts with getting in touch. With so many unfortunate ties between the two, will Chimere and Jaleel receive the chance to turn their friendship into something more? Or will the outsiders who aren't familiar nor fond with their history, become their biggest nightmare by getting in the way? Hot read!!!

To be a first time writer this book flowed characters were developed, it a flow that made you not want to put the book down. Chimera and Jaleel were meant to be and nothing stood inn there way. Chimera had great support in the people around her Celeste, Meeka, her employees she was good people to be around. Jaleel may have small problems but nothing he couldn't handle he was the best man for Chimera. Get this hot banger one click right away. Great read love this book.

I was feeling this story.

I was feeling this story even though the pace was a bit slower than I would have liked, but it wasn't my story to tell. Overall, the past lovers to renewed lovers was a nice touch. The ending was fused together rather quickly and maybe an additional chapter would have cleared the hanging chad.... A nice story save for a few to many typos... A good effort.

Good job

This is my first book I’ve read from this author and I wasn’t disappointed. There were a few errors but it didn’t take away from this beautiful love story. This story will take you back to your high school sweetheart and make you wonder if you were meant to be. I absolutely loved the chemistry between Chimere and Jaleel, they had that type of love that needed no explanation. Thank you Bookies for shedding light on new and slept on authors

Oh Wow!

Hard to believe this was your first book, Chelley. This urban love story makes your heart skip a beat. I figured Tiana and Mikai was going to be the problem for Chimere and Jaleel, but I guess if you're meant to be nothing or no one can change that. This was a very good read.

Real Love

Chelley has a way of demonstrating real love in her pen game. This novel is a hopeless romantic love story that most want and wait for! There will always be a stumbling block but what's meant to be will be! A beautiful read!

Chelley did a great job with this being her first book but I wish it was longer to see what more drama would unfold. Chimere was truly a headstrong individual and I loved the drive she possessed. Even though her thoughts were consumed of her first love, she still managed. I liked Jaleel but Tiana was beyond thirsty and needed to let things go. It took some time but I'm glad Chimere and Jaleel had the opportunity to get caught up and express their feelings. Makei was weird for sure and I didn't like him even a little bit. Chimere and Jaleel had to test the theory and see if the feelings they shared would prove they were meant to be.

Meant to be is correct.

The title told the story without having to read it, only because you can predict the ending. Even though it was predictable, it was a nice read to pass by time.

Call me a sucker for love. I really enjoyed the debut novel from author Chelley. The characters were realistic and the story was believable. I was rooting for the charters to get their stuff together. I didn't want it to end. That's a good thing. I look forward to reading more from this author
