This book is a super-friendly compilation written by Seattle high school kids (almost all students of color) exploring the concept of "family," produced by the Seattle 826 (a non-profit youth creative writing program) as their first project. The writing is honest and straightforward. Sherman Alexie provides a short, sweet and inspiring introduction.
