Part of the Comparing Past and Present series, this easy-to-read book features large photographs and one-sentence descriptions of schools. The photos from schools in the past and today's schools face each other, allowing readers to compare and contrast how students learned then and now. Although the book's information is basic, it's still likely to stir interest in classrooms from yesterday. There seem to have been many changes, but perhaps those changes are only on the surface.
