Shadows

Rate this book
These words are shadows of my soul, my past, my life.
The words of a teenage girl, these words were my voice when I could not speak; anger and sadness, heartbreak in a tangible form. A silent tongue to despair. A photograph of my mind. A snapshot of moments of insanity and sanity, love…
Things I wish I could forget and things I never want to forget.
These words were my salvation. A way to make speak the truth while hiding in the dark.

This collection is unedited as I feel, with poetry, the way things are written—the lack of punctuation, the usage of grammar—is all important in conveying the emotions.

Wow

Normally, poetry is not something I am to bothered about (I blame my school for that. To much time analysing, not enough enjoying it!). But this was done by Stevie J. Cole, and I love her writing. Boy, am I glad I did!
The poems span from her very early teens, right up to her early 20's and each one is as powerful as the last.
They are beautiful, full of emotion and paint a vivid picture. As much as they are beautiful though, they will leave you in no doubt, that her smile hides a tragic past.
If you love Stevie J. Cole's books, then you really don't want to miss out on reading her poetry. From a very early age, she showed her potential.
I don't think 5 stars are enough. Perhaps a galaxy of stars would be more appropriate!

True Masterpiece

This poetry collection is nothing as I had expected however it was brilliant. The way the collection is set up is genius. You can feel every word as if it were your own emotions coming through. The raw honesty that pours from each piece is so powerful. I highly recommend this.
