Eventually, Leopold got free of them, but someone clever and very powerful has now drawn him into a dangerous game where the puppet cannot be distinguished from the puppet master. Winning is not in the cards. Defeat will end with a descent into the abyss of hell. Run? The snare is already drawn too tight…

Pavel Kornev is a popular Russian author whose writing crosses the boundaries of the sci fi thriller, fantasy adventure and steampunk. Genre mashing has long become his signature style.

Первая книга пока самая стоящая и крутая. Однако серия мне нравится и даже и очень, она интересная, динамичная и с яркими персонажами (один лепрекон или суккуб чего стоят).

Мне понравилась эта книга. Продолжение цикла про уже бывшего детектива снова погружает в мир расследований и стимпанка.
Рассказ наполнен деталями, традиционно уделяется особое внимание оружию, как и в других произведениях Корнева. Расследования показаны приближенно к реальности - с большим количеством времени потраченного на допросы и поиски, которые не всегда дают результаты.
Описание светских раутов показывает ещё одну сторону этого интересного мира. Сюжет тоже неплох.
Концовка была интересной, пусть и не столь внезапной, как концовка второй книги.
Прочитал книгу на одном дыхании и нисколько не жалею о потраченном времени.

Первая книга пошла не очень - слегка зятянуто, я даже подумывал бросить. Вторая была гораздо лучше, третью проглотил за один день.
Удивительное исключение из правил. В этот раз каждая следующая книга серии оказывалась лучше предыдущей. Надеюсь, четвертая книга меня не разочарует.

Продолжение "Сиятельного" и "Бессердечного".. Лео, как всегда, очарователен.. И вляпывается, как всегда, по самые ушки.. Продолжение не подкачало, всё на уровне предыдущей дилогии, хотя, драйва несколько поменьше.. Но достойно, достойно.
