With tension rising and madness taking hold, will she reach out to the one person she vowed never to speak with again and let the law handle it or will she call on the pact one more time? Blood, death and secrets always have repercussions. How far is she willing to go to protect the ones she loves?
I've always been an avid reader of almost all genres. I've been reading and writing since I was 7 and snuck into my moms collection of Stephen King books. Only recently did I have the courage to put myself out there (with a lot of persuasion of author friends) and publish my 1st book, which was cowritten with the amazing J.L. Clayton and being brave enough to subjecting myself to the criticism I've seen so much. But that won't stop me from pursuing my dreams. I will be finishing the "Delusional" series on my own, it's almost done because the characters won't let me stop even if I wanted to , they've found a home instead my head and have a story they want me to tell. 😜. I have degrees in Forensic Science and Abnormal Psychology, which I believe plays a small roll in me writing about the darkest parts of the human and not so human mind. I'm a mom of three amazing kids, ranging from 18 all the way down to 2yrs old & I have an awesome stepson who is 15. I am a firm believer in fairytales and happily ever afters because after a long period apart and living an entire countryside away from each other me and my 1st true love rekindled and we're married 5 months later.
I honestly wasn't sure whether to mark this as 3.5 stars or 4. There were so many good aspects but some parts weren't as great for me. However, I will say this definitely grabbed my attention for starting a new series!
The very positive side is this definitely had major suspense to it. I could barely keep up and it had me on the edge of my seat. I definitely did not expect it to go the way it went pretty much the entire way.
I would have liked to see a more character development and world building. Parts of it stretched my ability to find it realistic. That being said it's still a great first book to a series and I look forward to more!
Ooow Baby! This is most definitely the start to an incredibly twisted & thrilling rollercoaster ride! It's gives you the same chill up your spine excitement, yet hesitant trepidation you'd get exploring the Hall of Mirrors in an old Abandoned Amusement Park! The twists are unexpected & will have you begging for more just as I am! What really happened? What's going to happen? Who will still be left standing in the end?! I can't wait to see where these Characters take M. Rain in the installments to come! Amazing Debut! Epic Start too what is No Doubt a Thrill Ride & a Half!😍
I was super excited to read this book and waited a long time to get it It was well worth the wait these authors did a brilliant job and I can't wait for the next installment Amazing job ladies worth every star ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Five friends, the descendants of a small town’s founders, are bound together by one family’s dark secret. An intriguing psychological thriller that will keep you turning the pages. Once I started reading, I couldn’t put this book down. I wait with anticipation for the next installment.
I was thrilled to be given the chance to read an ARC of Delusional Conduct. I had been dying to read this book since I first learned about it through Facebook. There was a great deal of information presented in the first chapter. A childhood memory, talk about the new kids in town, the history of the asylum, and the construction through the forest were all swirling around in my head. It was a lot to take in right at the beginning. I did find myself intrigued with all the talk about the old asylum. I did find myself curious to find out why Jen knew something was wrong, but couldn't seem to remember quite what it was. Michelle did a great job of trying to help Jen unblock her mind and share with the group what had her so upset. I enjoyed watching the pieces fall into place as she remembered back to that evening at the library. The death of Jen's sister and the mystery surrounding that event were trickling into the forefront too and made me eager to continue reading. What Jen witnessed had was terrible. There was a mysterious air to those events as well, as she couldn't quite explain HIM. The bond that the five friends shared was intriguing and I wanted to know more about it and how it would factor into their plan for revenge. As Michelle tried to piece together the fragments of memories from her own past, I was startled by some of the details she was able to pull up. As she was able to remember more and more of those hidden secrets, the puzzle pieces of truth began to fall into place. When Michelle followed Matt into the woods for answers, I was on the edge of my seat. I was torn between wanting her to go with him and wanting her to run from him. Everything was becoming clearer, and yet, like Michelle, I still had questions. The newly developed tension between Michelle and Jen had me curious as well. Chapter 14 had Michelle with a lot on her mind and a tough decision of sorts to make. I was dying to know what would happen. And then all the action just dropped on me like a bomb and I was shocked that it was going down this way. The ending was a bit surprising and interesting. I still had questions, but I liked the way the story ended and how it kept me suspicious about what could happen next. This book always had a lot going on, but it kept me engaged the whole time I was reading. I found a few inconsistencies as I read, but overall the story was very interesting and kept me wanting to know what would happen next. I am looking forward to more from these authors.
A fast packed action filled story about five friends who believe themselves to be protecting their small town from some new kids who have harmed some of the other local kids. But one of the members of their group is hiding a dark family secret that if uncovered would cost alot of problems. I really enjoyed this book and I was pleasantly surprised that Michelle and her group of friends were kinda what you would call the good kids. This story is really dark and I loved reading every minute of it. Keeping my fingers crossed part two is out soon. As the story leaves you at a good place. Reviewed by Jennifer
I loved this book. I started it and find`t put it down till I finished it. I thought the interaction between each member of the group was so strong and unique. With Michelle it seems like she is the leader she seems to control the flow of the group. I loved how the story evolved and brought out their combined past and the evil that touched them. I really can`t wait for the next part of this story. I have so many questions that I hope the next book answers. Love love love this book. Very much worth the wait.
this was amazing book! had me confused at first. there is five close friends who cover up something that happened years ago. now something else has happened and they want to set a trap. only this time the tables have turned on them. what happens? read to find out!
Delusional Conduct is a book that sent chills down my spine and a jump in my heart rate. Five friends fighting inner demons and keeping lifelong secrets stick together with unwavering loyalty. The suspense in this book and the shear creepiness makes this book a great read.
