The Principle and Power of Kingdom Citizenship By Dr. Myles Munroe
Have you ever wondered about what it means to be part of the Kingdom of God? We have lost, over the years, what Jesus meant. We have interpreted the words of Jesus through the murky lens of our western culture. Instead we need to throw out what we know and relearn the rights and duties of our kingdom citizenship. The Bible is our way to knowledge about the heavenly kingdom of which we have a claim.
Humanity's failure began with the first sin. One simple command do not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil destroyed humanities access to the only outpost (colony) of Heaven on Earth. Charged with the management of God's creation we failed, but through the sacrifice of God's Son we've been offered a second chance. A chance to reclaim our citizenship in Heaven, but we've distorted this chance.
This book offers you a guide to be sure you understand what it means to be a citizen. And you will see the importance of living every minute as an ambassador of the Kingdom. This book offers some interesting insights that you will want to explore.

This book is another great book by pastor Myles Monroe Within ten pages of the book I had to stop and take pages of notes of thoughts that were coming to my head The main principal is that the New Testament in the Bible is littered with references about kingdoms Myles states that he understands kingdoms and colonies more than most because he grew up in the Bahamas (a colony of Great Britain while he was young) On the other hand, I grew up in the states, a democracy, do kingdom concepts are not as natural He breaks down how a benevolent king system works and how that relates to the Bible I would recommend this book to any Christian trying to live a more heavenly life right now
In 'The Principles & Power of Kingdom Citizenship', Myles Munroe explores the concept of kingdom living, empowering believers to live as citizens of God's kingdom. He shares practical insights on aligning with God's kingdom principles, overcoming obstacles, and unlocking spiritual authority. A thought-provoking guide to deepening your faith and living a purposeful life.
This was a good book and the analogy of Gods kingdom to the picture of a secular kingdom of the medieval era was enlightening. My own opinion was that Mr. Munroe covered some of the same ground over and over again though and that the picture and overall experience and key points could have been put more succinctly.
It revived some of the best teachings I studied in other Kingdom based books and also opened up many new ideas and insights. It answered spot on, many questions that I had about being a true Kingdom citizen and Ambassador. Thank you Pastor Monroe!
This book is definitely a eye opening experience to read. I love the various illustrations the author gives about kingdoms . One thing I thought very interesting was about the "fall." He asks us what did we really lose in the "fall." I never really thought about that as bring significant to the kingdom. What didAdam and Eve fall from? They did the one thing they were told not to do. They fell from dominion and therefore Adam was no longer getting direction from God. I wonder how many of us have stopped listening to God? Who are we getting our direction from?
It is interesting to read in the book that the author said "it is a tragedy that we have produced a religion called Christianity . Jesus did not invent such a thing."' What Jesus did do though was to come to earth "to establish an outpost of the Kingdom of Heaven." I understand more clearly when God said, " let them have dominion." He assigned us to manage what He had created . As we look around we can see that we are very much lacking in the area of taking care of what He created.
The book is very thought provoking and takes you into a deeper place in His word. The illustrations the author gives us helps to visualize what the Kingdom is and how we can take back what has been assigned to us. He is very direct and doesn't sugar coat anything. I like to read a book that gives me things to think about and take me deeper into the Word. When he said, "Some need to sell their loyalty to the pastor they love so much but who isn't preaching about the Kingdom", I stopped and re read that sentence. What he is saying is we need to be careful who we are listening to and making sure we are being taught what the bible says.
There is a great story in the book about an elderly couple who won a cruise. They were not wealthy and didn't understand what they had won. They packed their small belongings and headed to their cabin. It was a beautiful and luxurious room. They sat there day after day, eating crackers and juice but never leaving the room. On the ninth day, the captain became concerned . He had not seen them leave their room, they never came to dine or go to the shows. When he went to the room, he asked them why they had not partaken in any if the things the ship offered . They said they couldn't afford it. What the captain explained must have astounded them. The tickets they had were to enjoy everything the ship had to offer free of charge. The story was very vivid in what it meant. We lack knowledge, so we don't get the full benefits of the Kingdom.
Thank you for a book that will be a benefit to me as well as others in explaining the meaning of Kingdom Citizenship. The book is well written and has very good examples by using stories from the bible and scriptures to clearly relay his message. I encourage readers to take their time reading this powerful book and looking at the Kingdom as part of our inheritance that we need to take care of.

The Principle and Power of Kingdom Citizenship: Keys to Experiencing Heaven on Earth by author Dr. Myles Munroe is a hardcover book published by Destiny Image. Dr. Munroe wrote many books in his lifetime, was a Bahamian Evangelical Christian evangelist and an ordained Pentecostal minister. He died in a plane accident in November 2014.
Dr. Munroe discussed citizenship in length. Citizenship in a country means one thing. Dual citizenship is a something else and he explains that. Then he discussed citizenship that we Christians have on Earth and Heaven. We are to be God's ambassadors on Earth for Heaven, living to represent God and Heaven. We are to take care of this world that God made and entrusted to man. When examining the condition of the world today, mankind has not done a good job. It is not just how we are taking care of the Earth, it is also how we are treating each other. I found myself nodding my head yes as I was reading. We need to change. It is an nice, easy read that is filled with scripture, stories, an examples to make the message clear. It is biblically based. It makes you think. It also makes you pray.
Citizenship is a privilege no matter where it is. As a citizen you are always an ambassador or representative for there. How are we representing Heaven on Earth? How are we representing God? How are we combatting Satan? How are we taking care of God's outpost of Heaven? It is an extremely interesting, educational book and very enlightening. It gave me many things to consider, some new and some not but it was nice to hear another perspective. It stays with you long after you have finished reading it. It would be a great small group study because it is a book to discuss. I would recommend it anyone. It is a must read. I would rate it a 5 out of 5 stars. While reading this book I became sad knowing that this would be his last book. I am grateful for the opportunity to read and review this great book. I know that I will be rectifying this by finding his other works. This book was very intriguing. You know the feeling when you think you already know the story and find out you were wrong? Yep, that's how I felt after reading this book. Dr Munroe explains that "we have produced a religion called Christianity". He goes on to explain that God sent his son Jesus to earth to help us "establish an outpost of the Kingdom of Heaven". God has assigned us to manage earth for him because he created it. He explains that we have not done a very good job of managing. Our world is falling apart around us, war, poverty, abuse, killings when will it stop??? We need to wake up and open our eyes to what God has given us and prepare for citizenship into the Kingdom of Heaven. We can't just be "Sunday believers" like Dr Monroe states in a chapter. We need to help others. There are two worlds that contend with each other and they are kingdoms. One is the kingdom of darkness and the other is the Kingdom of Light. Satan is the darkness and God is the Light. There are some out there that we need to be careful listening too because they are wolves in sheeps clothing. Listen to God and the scriptures he has given us and our path to citizenship will be full of love and peace. I loved this book and how easy it was to follow. Each chapter is filled with examples, stories, and scriptures from the bible. This book has a powerful message and is well written. I recieved this book from The BookClub Network for an honest review. Thank you and God Bless
The Principle and Power of Kingdom Citizenship by Myles Munroe, is a very interesting book. The author uses the different countries and the types of citizenship they have to get the point across to us that Heaven has similar responsibilities for it's people and rules to follow as well. Like earthly countries, Heaven also has a constitution, it is the Bible. The better we know what is in the bible, the better we will know what our rights and responsibilities are. The Bible tells us what we need to do to receive what is rightfully ours.
The author also points out that staying obedient to God's laws is our best way to prepare for prayer. That we often go to God in prayer after all else fails. We should go to God in prayer first and free of sin Our prayers are not answered because we plead with God, our prayers are answered because we hold up our end of the covenant with God. We all have equal standing with God, no one is better than another.
I like the authors explanation of our responsibility to remain childlike. We are to stay close to God, do what he says and trust him to take care of us. We are to be like children, quick to believe, not be influenced by status or money and trust like a child.
I like this book, I had not look at the Kingdom of God in the way the book describes it. This is not a book to be read in one sitting, it deserves be read and thought about.

Having never read anything written by Dr. Myles Munroe, I had no idea of what to expect. Once I got into the first few chapters, I knew this was going to be a book that I would want to keep and use as a reference a long time. He begins by defining citizenship in a country and moves on to dual citizenship in two countries and finally to a believer’s citizenship on earth and in heaven.
I had never thought in terms of dual citizenship, but it certainly makes sense, and the Bible is our constitution. It is a refreshing look that had me excited to keep reading. His chapters are filled with examples and Bible verses and is very direct in his delivery. My favorite story, although sad, is about an older couple who won a cruise, but stayed in their room the entire journey. They didn’t know that everything was paid for and all they needed to do was enjoy. Instead they stayed in their room eating crackers and drinking juice. The brought such a vivid picture to me – we don’t fully enjoy all the rewards of being a believer because we lack the knowledge.
This book could be used as a primer for a new believer, but it definitely delivers new insights of concepts we have heard many times over. I would definitely recommend this book to those seeking to go deeper in the faith, especially in terms of citizenship in Heaven.
I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. I will definitely be purchasing copies of his other books now that I know what his books are like.
This book was very interesting. The author goes through a lot of history and meaning behind citizenship. Normally I get bored kind of easy with that stuff but I found it really interesting and learned a lot. This is really information we should all know but I don’t think many of us take the time to understand and didn’t pay attention to when in school (I know I didn’t). Even though he wasn’t always talking directly about Heaven I found myself making connections and having a better understanding of what all of this means for us as “Christians”. It isn’t until chapter 6 that the connections really becomes clear and then the author lays it all out there for us. We really have not clue what it means to be citizens of Heaven right now, here on earth. The power we possess, the privileges of our citizenship. I really did find this book very interesting and hope you will give it chance too and learn something new and hopefully life changing.

Do you know who you are? If you are searching this book will help you. You are the child of the Most High and as such, you are part of the Kingdom Family. That entitles you to inheritance, rights and responsibilities. You must live as a child of God. You represent Him wherever you go. Dr. Monroe's book will explain it to you. He is explaing your Kingdom Constitution and teaches you how to live while on the earth. You don't have to wait until you get to heaven to exercise your rights. You can experience a little heaven while on earth. Thy Kingdom COME, Thy will be done, ON EARTH as it is in heaven.
Excelling at explaining a mind-set change and imparting a culture shift, Dr. Myles Munroe draws a picture of citizenship in the spirit realm and explains it in an every-day way. The Principle & Power of Kingdom Citizenship applies to someone new in knowing God and someone with years of relationship.
A new favorite communicator to me. Enjoy the depth and clear articulation.

I love Dr Munroe's teachings. He ability to bring understanding through the interpretation of scripture, is like no other I have encountered before. This book empowers the reader to know what it really means to be a citizen of a kingdom. Once one has read this book they will view their citizenry here on earth and in the kingdom of God very seriously. For it is truly a privilege to be a citizen of His kingdom with all its benefits and responsibilities.
This being last book I believe sums up perfectly what his ministry of the kingdom was is about.
I wanted to readThe Principle and Power of Kingdom Citizenship because I have heard so many wonderful things about Dr. Munroe. It definitely made me think and gave me many concept to chew on. This isn’t the only book I will be reading by him. This book is one I will refer to often.
