The three enchanting installments of the Americana Series included in this collection tell heart-soaring tales of love and desire in Alabama, Alaska, and Arizona.

Dangerous Masquerade : Having spent her life in her cousin’s shadow, shy secretary Laurie Evans steps into the spotlight. She bears a strong resemblance to her movie-star cousin, LaRaine, and agrees to masquerade as the spoiled actress on a trip to Alabama to meet LaRaine’s future in-laws. But when her cousin’s fiancé, Rian Montgomery, arrives unexpectedly, Laurie can’t help but desire the millionaire hotel magnate—and a dazzling romance that’s no charade.

Northern Magic : Shannon Hayes is thrilled to reunite with her fiancé, Rick, in Anchorage, Alaska, after a long separation, but when she arrives he’s disappeared. Desperate to find him, Shannon asks Rick’s employer, Cody, for help, and soon his comforting, reliable presence makes her wonder if she’s giving her heart to the wrong man.

Sonora Sundown : Lost in the desert, Brandy Ames is alone, frightened, and desperate for help. She’s relieved when she stumbles upon the campfire of drop-dead gorgeous cattle thief Jim Corbett. Rugged and mysterious, Jim is a man of few words, but Brandy is happy to saddle up next to him and ride out a sandstorm that forces them to take shelter for the night—in each other’s arms.

Janet Anne Haradon Dailey was an American author of numerous romance novels as Janet Dailey (her married name). Her novels have been translated into nineteen languages and have sold over 300 million copies worldwide.

Born in 1944 in Storm Lake, Iowa, she attended secretarial school in Omaha, Nebraska before meeting her husband, Bill. She had since gone on to write approximately 90 novels, 21 of which have appeared on the New York Times Bestseller List. She won many awards and accolades for her work, appearing widely on Radio and Television. Today, there are over three hundred million Janet Dailey books in print in 19 different languages, making her one of the most popular novelists in the world.

Janet Dailey passed away peacefully in her home in Branson on Saturday, December 14, 2013. She was 69.

Americana Series

I fell in love with Janet Dailey's book when I was a teenager looking through my mom's romance books for something to read. I read all of the Americana series then and enjoyed revisiting my old friends. I will be getting the rest of the series to re-read.
I can't say enough about all of Janet 's books. I am always on the lookout for a new one from her.

Janet Daily is an author I have read for years and I have read these three book twice over the years, once when Harlequin originally published them and when they were then re-released as the Americana series, again by Harlequin. Now my third time I find I still like them just as much as I did the first time I read the books. That is the beauty of Janet Dailey's talent in that she can give you a clean light romantic book that goes through the years and loses none of its beauty and enjoyment.

This Americana series goes through all 50 states, a different book set in each state. Allowing you to enjoy to uniqueness of each state and the people who live there. This prolific author provides accurate background scenes with compelling stories. A legacy left behind by Ms. Dailey for her fans to enjoy for years to come and share with readers who follow our leads.

My rating of "The Americana Series - Volume 1" is 4.75 out of 5 stars.

“I received a free, advance copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my unbiased review.”

When I saw this book listed my heart jumped! I read all of these books as a teenager. I kept these books for years until the box got wet and damaged my precious Janet Dailey books! I loved her writing then and I loved seeing my old friends once again! I am glad they didn't update them. I like going back to when life was oh so much simpler! I can't wait for the next volume! And yes I will keep all of them so whenever I need a pick me up I can delve into these books like the old friends they are! If you are looking for steamy romance these are probably not for you! I enjoyed learning something about each state in the book. It is a good wholesome romance!
