“Wetherell writes like a modern Douglas Adams with a darker, more fantastical bent. The Doomsayer Journeys is stiff upper lip, prim and proper madness – like a nice cup of tea spiked with malicious nanobots and mescaline.” – Robert Brockway, The Unnoticeables
On a world about to be obliterated by nuclear garbage, an incompetent psyentist must join forces with an immortal adventurer, a professional kleptomaniac and a nearly naked warrior princess in order to save to day. However, on a world populated with mythical beasts and ruled by a psychotic despot, saving the day is not so easy as it sounds...

Audio...The Complete Adventure. Give this one a chance. Once I got my Canadian ears attuned to the narrator's English accent, it was like listening to a frolicking good adventure told by an old friend. It's silly and disturbing and funny. Hint - Don't try and use logic or common sense, just go with the story and have fun with it.
This sci fi adventure tale is an amazing read, especially if you are a fan of Douglas Adams. Wetherell pulls you in to a fantastic tale. In Adamsesque fashion this series makes you think and has you looking around corners only to see... more corners. The humor is decidedly British so know that going in but definitely and entertaining romp through a fictional history of a planet doomed to destruction... or is it? Only the Gardener Knows.
Wetherell has written an absolute stunner of a book. A careful blend of science fiction and fantasy dusted with Douglas Adams-ish wit, served on a storyline that fairly crackles as it whooshes along. I liked this so much I put in in a short story. Highly recommended.
