This book was not that good at detailing the life of Desmond Tutu so much as describing the events of South Africa in the 50s and 60s. Which I guess I wanted to know about. But it looks to me like Tutu was really not all that important, as Mandela was. Dissatisfying.

I think this book is a fairly informative beginner's book about Desmond Tutu's life (of course it is not going to help those who want to be really up-to-date and knowledgeable, but a good starter for those who want to know some basics).
