As if to take heed of the adage about all work and no play, during more frivolous moments we played games with the com puter, such as checkers and chess. Some of this Sport developed into serious interests. Playing with the computer provided us with simulated experience, which was obtained more quickly and less expensively than real experience. This led us to design business games and war games to help train our corporation executives and our military officers.
